ProcessWire on the web

How did we miss this (or it was only me)? Tidy CMS did a nice comparison of their CMS to some others that included PW. All in all, I think the review was as honest as it can be in a chalenge made by their measure although their CMS had unsurrisingly the best result of all by far :P

ProcessWire itself is definitely open source.  To use it at a greater level, you might need to pay a lot more to get more out of it.  ProcessWire is the commercial “pay for that feature” to get it done kind of system.  It is similar in lines with PyroCMS and ExpressionEngine in operational cost.
...
ProcessWire was pretty cool. I’m just not sure about it enough to really consider using it especially since all of its guts were in a single folder?? Everything looks cool on the front-end, but that irked me a little bit (I know you’re probably thinking, “it’s namespaced anyway!”).

To be honest, the level of flexibility and structure freedom in PW is not something you'd really understand at first, especially coming from the likes of WP, Joomla or whatev'. You only really get the feel of it when going to production with it.

I understand that, but if you want to write about something, make sure you understood at least the basics.

Another German article about PW. This time by a huge hoster (300.000+ users): https://www.df.eu/blog/2015/05/11/processwire-ein-cms-mit-besonderer-flexibilitaet/

They now are offering to install PW from the admin interface of your webspace: https://twitter.com/domainfactory/status/603131328826101760

(Fun fact: Almost all of our PW installations run there as we usually recommend DF as our preferred hosting company)

Hi,

I've just found out again about browser-update.org via another website using it.

If someone knowledgeable enough created a (simple) module/"plugin", ProcessWire could also be mentioned on the homepage:

"You may also use third-party plugins for: WordPress, ember-cli, TYPO3, TYPOlight (german), vBulletin, concrete5, MODx, Drupal, Habari, Magento, WCF 2, CMS made simple, XenForo."
