I would try to again manually download the file or install via the Admin backend by going to the Modules Tab and clicking the New Tab and typing in "FrontendUserProfile". If the files are present in the Modules directory (/site/modules/) and you have faithfully followed the Install and Configuration directions for this module, I would send a PM to @Khan to see if this module is compatible with the current version of ProcessWire. On the listing for this module, it shows only version 2.2 as being compatible. Good Luck.

Did you install this module first?

You got to love functions, URL Segments, Hanna Code and PW
cstevensjr replied to Joss's topic in Pub
The great thing about ProcessWire and all the great tools/modules associated with it is that I have been motivated to relearn PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript. I have never had so much fun as in the last year. Hanna Code specifically with Ryan's original Foundation 4 profile made learning too easy. I have now gone on to other CSS Frameworks with no fear. I still got the API, functions, modules and many other things to learn in ProcessWire. I can't say that I am bored with ProcessWire. From my point of view, It's great to be an old geezer. I embrace it because it doesn't keep me from learning new and exciting things. -
@renobird Thanks for your reply. I have really taken a liking to Ryan's module and am now using it on a few websites. When I saw what you had accomplished, I was very happy because I really like using accordians or tabs when developing a website. I really would like to be able to use both at the same time, since I believe it would allow me or even others to be more creative when developing websites. Thanks again and best regards Charles

First, Thank you for creating this. Maybe this is a real stupid question, but here goes --- wouldn't it be better if you used some other trigger than 5+ hyphens to activate this? My thinking is that if you changed it to something that did not conflict with the Pagination Texformatter, we could then possibly use both on a page?

Go to the Modules tab on the back-end (Admin). Select the Core Tab at the top. You should see the Lister Module listed.

One user out of 5 can't login - "request aborted"
cstevensjr replied to totoff's topic in General Support
Can you have him uninstall, delete and reinstall Firefox? -
I believe you would need "yum update" to update all packages on your server. If I remember correctly, "yum install" is for installing a new package. Updated: http://www.sohailriaz.com/how-to-update-php-on-servers-centosfedorarhel/

Very nice. It's always interesting to see one of the ProcessWire Masters work.

You may also want to check if your client can log in on another browser or PC, before doing too much troubleshooting on the server end. -
It's a serious issue, however the truth is that there is no single right answer/solution that is assured to keep all form submissions safe. Furthermore, You are entitled to your own opinion and actually it won't hurt anything for ProcessWire users to have an additional choice/option to fight spam.
-
I do a lot of form based websites/applications. Since I started using ProcessWire, I haven't had a need to deal with unreliable Captcha schemes and haven't had to deal with spam. As Ryan stated, using honeypots is a preferable option.

I agree it was a stroke of bad luck and bad timing for you. Please don't take anything I wrote as a reflection on/about you. It's a bad situation and unfortunately happens from time to time. That's what I believed are the qualities that you have. I wouldn't have responded to your post if I thought otherwise. I've gone through a situation like yours before many times. I agree with all that you wrote and believe you should have been pissed and upset.

Sorry you had to go through a situation, as you described. I actually do and it's a part of me initially working with a client. I believe it's about integrity, honesty and being a professional. I also make sure that periodically I make them aware of the potential for outages/disruptions that I have no control over. Your clients may not want to hear that there can be outages but I usually frame it based on what type of hosting they chose to buy. By letting them know ahead of time what the pros and cons are of a hosting solution, when bad things ultimately do happen they were advised of the consequences. It doesn't mitigate the consequences of the outage but they cannot fairly look at you as the cause. You do get what you pay for, in networking, and everyone needs to be realistic about their hosting choices. I make sure my clients know this. High redundancy and fail-over services cost money. Even if you pay for these things there is still no guarantee that issues won't happen. That's the nature of an interconnected world. Once again, I'm sorry you had to endure this type of problem. Best Regards, Charles

If you haven't already, please open an issue on Github regarding this. Thanks.

The quick answer, Regardless of the hack, if you are using shared, VPS or even dedicated server hosting, even ProcessWire can be affected. If the site that you manage is using the same user account and/or on the same virtual/physical server as a compromised WordPress or Joomla site, any compromise can indeed affect the ProcessWire installation. If there are no old/new WordPress or Joomla installations under the situations I described and you are having this problem, then yes there may be an issue with ProcessWire. Please let us know if this is the case, however I doubt if it is, since we would have already seen this occur in other ProcessWire installations worldwide. PHARMA is an old hack, but it doesn't mean it hasn't been updated. Either way, you need to work with the security team at your webhost to identify and mitigate any issues. Please keep us informed on your progress clearing this issue up. Best Regards, Charles

First problem I noticed, two people are asking two separate questions at the same time. For @kasperwf, On your localhost (that is working), what are the following: ProcessWire version PHP version MySQL version Apache version Then, what are the same information for both hosts that you have have tried? Having that information, will allow someone to truly be of help to you. Thanks.

Mysterious 404 when viewing Unpublished pages
cstevensjr replied to thijs's topic in General Support
That statement stood out, to me, as something you may want to investigate further (Backbone.js app code structure/security/URL results). I mean you need to find out how the Backbone.js app could possibly be affecting your results. Reason: The behavior that you are mentioning is not a known basic ProcessWire behavior. Without eliminating the possible effect(s) the Backbone.js code has on your site structure, you will be chasing ghosts. Maybe someone else who is qualified on Backbone.js issues can rule out what I'm talking about. Another way to rule out any effect Backbone.js is having is if you are able to have a test ProcessWire website on the same server (local or hosting), using the same version of ProcessWire and PHP, without any Backbone.js code involved, I wonder what the result would be regarding published/unpublished pages generating mysterious 404s? I hope you figure it out, as it is indeed interesting and unusual behavior for a ProcessWire website. Best Regards, Charles -

Can you please provide a screenshot of your configuration for this Hanna Code? Does other Hanna Code work? -
Your website DNS changes haven't propagated to where I'm at yet. Will check it out later today/tomorrow. Looks good. Great work.

I finally found time to try out this module. Congrats to all for the dedication, collaboration and hard work in creating this needed tool. A very useful module.

I normally use Ryan's "Page Edit Field Permission" Module on most of my customer's sites in conjunction with Hanna Code. I create custom text area fields which are then restricted to the Super-User only. That is where I place stuff such as Macrura is talking about in the above quote. That way the client never sees or has access to mess up the Hanna Code data. It has worked very nicely for me and my clients.

OK. You have a form named "Company Contacts" that you have someone fill out. Form fields are "Company Name", "Address", "Telephone Number" and "Contact Name". You then have an existing page template "Contacts" that have fields "Title", Company Address", "Telephone" and "Contact". As the last part of your form logic, you through code: Create a new page using the "Contacts" template. The parent page is called "Contact List" Map the Form Field information with the Page Field data, most likely variables, as such: "Company Name" maps directly to "Title". "Address" maps directly to "Company Address". "Telephone Number" maps directly to "Telephone". "Contact Name" maps directly to "Contact". You then save the page. In the future, you can go to this page and edit/modify the data.
