Adrian, You are indeed a miracle worker and a very talented developer. Thanks for updating this module! The new changes are immediately useful and I owe you a depth of gratitude. Best Regards, Charles

Is there a way to get some additional message header information (i.e the FROM Address and the email DATE) to show up and could possibly be mapped to a PW field?

Adrian, Your changes made the difference. It works great now. Thanks a million. Best Regards, Charles

Great module, however I'm having a problem with attachments. I have the original image field, however the attachments don't show up. @Adrian, Is the fork that you are working on the same as what's published on the ProcessWire page for Process Email To Page? Much Thanks to @Pete and @Adrian for working on this module.

I'm a former Joomla adherent. I have used paid Akeeba products for years and am now trying their stand-alone (Akeeba Solo) PHP backup solution. I've been on vacation for over a month and therefore have not invested too much time into taking this product through it's paces.

I remember there was a similar issue with the Blog Profile. https://processwire.com/talk/topic/1394-blog-profile/page-6 I believe that issue dealt with displaying the admin account name when listing the Authors. I don't know the details of how your Blog module is setup, however the solution presented for the Blog Profile was pretty nice.

A little more civility, respect of others beliefs and an actual ability work in a collaborative environment would make these discussions productive.

ProcessWire (PW) is a very flexible and accommodating system. You can basically add any Front-end framework and with a little work, integrate it with PW. For me, there are no usability issues where the PW core is concerned. It does what it needs to do and if I feel it doesn't, I can easily find a solution that can be added to whatever project I'm working on. The forum is very open and accessible to anyone. People are very helpful and give of themselves. The functionality and usability that some want can indeed be added to PW. That's the great thing about PW, it's very extensible. What I don't understand is that there is nothing that is keeping others from adding these features. I, as an user will buy, support or make use of these enhanced capabilities whenever they are created/contributed. I also enjoy hearing about new use cases for PW, however I greatly hope that the core of PW remains lean, mean and powerful. I look forward to reading about how others are contributing to the PW ecosystem by adding capabilities that are not in the core. I personally believe Ryan or the core team are not responsible and have no responsibility for adding a bunch of kitchen sink features.

Adrian, that's a valid sequence when using SSL (Port 465 is required). Port 587 requires TLS. The first link I posted explains what normally works, according to Gmail themselves. I host with Dreamhost and when I was using ActiveCollab, I could use either or both within that application. Gmail has other relay addresses that also work. Here's Dreamhost's take on SMTP/SSL/TLS http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Secure_E-mail I'm no Gmail or SMTP expert, so I usually just play around with the settings until I get one that reliably works. I don't think there is a default right answer to getting your mail to send reliably, because we are dealing with different email vendors, Operating Systems, Webhosts and other factors we don't even know about.

I posted 2 times in another topic about the SMTP settings for Google. Here is the consolidated information from those posts: If you use a Google email address, this will work: Other major providers are setup similar (you just need to check what their SMTP requirements are - this information is easily found, otherwise ask your hosting provider for correct setup and ports) ------------- Second Post ----------------- I will & here is additional information regarding Gmail. There are specific variations that will work and sometimes people don't understand why an option is needed. These links should educate anyone on why certain settings work and others don't. https://support.google.com/a/answer/176600?hl=en http://email.about.com/od/accessinggmail/f/Gmail_SMTP_Settings.htm http://email.about.com/od/accessinggmail/qt/et_gmail_imap.htm http://email.about.com/od/accessinggmail/qt/How_to_Access_a_Gmail_Account_with_any_Email_Client_via_POP.htm

That may be a great test, however what are the PHP.ini limits set at? The PHP.ini memory settings will have an effect on why you're having your problem, no matter what you may be able to do with on that test. Windows and IIS has it's quirks.

There has definitely been an influx of new very talented coders in the PW world lately. I for one am thankful and am excited about this occurrence. Keep up the good quality work.

SomeDay Tool I'm working on a series of restricted collaborative websites that are geared towards me working with my clients. It's a mashup of CRM, Project/Task Management, Tracking, Documentation and Configuration Control features. Everything is controlled by PW Roles. It's a tool that allows me to have a great deal of transparency with those I work with. The objective is to easily know the who, what, when, where and how of whatever is being worked on. I call it a Collaborative Resource Management System (CRMS) which has the nickname of SomeDay. I currently have one of these websites for each of my important clients and an additional one to keep track of my internal work. They all use the inherent native power of PW to produce specialized status reports. The websites intentionally incorporates the front-end and back-end of the PW platform. There is a lot of information stored within this type of website, what I like to call an Information Portal. You are able to easily query a status and get a good view of what's going on. This is a long-term ongoing project and I will update this post as more features/capabilities are added. Meanwhile, here are a few pictures of the CRMS Tool: Figure 1-3 (The SomeDay Tool for one of my clients) Figure 1 (Login courtesy of Adrian's Protected Mode Module) Figure 2, Homepage is a summary of all information Figure 3, Each item can be clicked on to get to detailed information Figures 4-7 (My internal SomeDay Tool website) Figure 4, (Login) Figure 5, Homepage Summary for my internal work Figure 6 , Homepage Summary Figure 7, FlagPages showing Bookmarks Figures 8-11 (Looking at a Task) Figure 8, Front-end view Figure 9, Back-end view (editing) Figure 10, Place for adding Priority or Statuses Figure 11, Private Tab only available to selected PW Roles Figures 12 and 13 (Site Structure) Figure 12, CRMS structural flow Figure 13, Tasks and Sub-Tasks can be added to Projects Figures 14-16 (Customized Reports) Figure 14, Review all items based on what type of work it is Figure 15, Review items based on their status Figure 16, Listing of all items with a status category of Active That's it for now.

SomeDay Tool I'm working on a series of restricted collaborative websites that are geared towards me working with my clients. FlagPages allows the client or myself to bookmark what's important to each person (i.e. a particular project, task, sub-task, subscription, configuration control item, note, contact, etc...). FlagPages allows you to have favorites or shortcuts within a highly structured system. I'm still working on documentation of the SomeDay Tool and intend on talking about it on this PW Forum, when I get some free time. Edit: I took some time to write a little bit up about the SomeDay Tool https://processwire.com/talk/topic/7919-someday-tool-project/#entry76508

I just wanted to say that this is an outstanding and essential module! I appreciate all that you have done with this module.

My 2 cents, the only time I have experienced or seen this is when you save an image in a "file" field versus an "image" field.

Very nice!

Can I suggest you please change the title to "MODx Sites Hacked" or something similar? I hope you get your issues worked out.

You should open an issue in Github so this can get prompt attention. A quick observation, Your subject says "Performance drop after update to 2.5", however I believe you are experiencing performance problems only on one website? Correct? Put another way, you have not stated that your other upgrades are exhibiting any performance degradation.
