  1. Okay, just did a test now. The result on a fresh install of 2.5.19-dev: Nothing appears in the front-end. (See my post below - long day) After uninstalling Fredi and I try to delete using the built-in module list: "Failed to delete module 'Fredi'", but it deletes anyway. Same thing with FrediProcess. Could this be a Windows thing? (Doubt it, but worth a look-see.)
  2. Cool beans - lemme know if anything comes up.
  3. Are we ready to go ahead and make this stable? I haven't encountered any further issues...
  4. There's already a site folder for CKEditor... I place skins and plugins there...
  5. When I get some time in a few hours, I'll try it out on a fresh install, and narrow out what the problem could be.
  6. I used both install methods. Manager, and through the normal class name thingy. (Didn't do manual install - all the same, to me.) Once uninstalled, I used the Delete options in module admin.
  7. Really like this - great site
  8. Just tried in 2.5.19-dev - doesn't work. Module Auto Install: FrediProcess Created Page: /admin/page/fredi-field-edit/ Updated 1 path Module Install - (blank) No module specified Not sure what the "No module specified" means there... And when I delete the module, it removes it from the module list, but says "Failed to delete Fredi" and "Failed to delete FrediProcess". It also does delete the files, but leaves the folders (Fredi and .Fredi) behind.
  9. My day has just been made. :-D
  10. There is already a Page: https://www.facebook.com/processwire
  11. Hi owzim I see. If I get some time, I'll make a PR. Ah, right - force of habit, I guess. ;-)
  12. Good to know - thanks, Jan. Truth be told, I don't use icon fonts nor SVG very often. However, the sites that I'll be working on soon will need 'em, so it's good to know the pitfalls. Damn you, IE. Damn you. :-P
  13. I would think there's a conflict there... Not familiar at all with how things work on a Mac though. I use good ol' XAMPP on Windows, and it does share ports. No speed issues on my side.
  14. Love this: http://vanilla-js.com/
  15. There's also Jumplinks, which supports redirects containing index.php, without needing to rename it.
  16. I find that SVG renders better, at least on Windows. I just haven't seen what the file-size difference is between an icon-font, and a set of bundled SVG fonts for that same icon-font.
  17. @blommie - The Afrikaans translation is actually path-walker (direct translation, however, is path-runner), in reference to the Homopus, a genus of small tortoises found in SA. And welcome to the forums
  18. Doesn't look like it's been released yet. Page says it's not in dev branch yet.
  19. I quite like the way this site does it. I'm sure there's a PHP version of it laying somewhere... Update: I see they have a PHP one - perhaps you could adapt this to your own needs?
  20. Yeah, even with the config module, there's still separation. That said, it's not a heavy separation - i.e. between back-end and code. Would be cool if there was a proper way to manage these links/attachments in terms of a global scope.
  21. The separation just feels weird, ya know?
  22. Thanks for this, Owzim - I do think it's a great module to have. Any way I can apply a prefix-check to all templates? I'm showing data in a footer, gathered from the home page, so I don't want to specify the prefix for every template I create...
  23. So the admin interface is then for overrides only?
  24. If this can already be done, then shoot me. I often find myself specifying the header/footer (prepend/append) for each template on every site I make. I think this could be automated, if asked to be by the developer/designer. This could be done by means of a check box for each. "Prepend this file to all templates" and "Append this file..." Feasible?
  25. I'm busy with four at the moment, as part of building up my portfolio. The first is a simple site for a children's home here in SA - they urgently needed a site to bolster their online marketing. Will be live this weekend. The second is for a text-book producer and distributor in Cameroon. Their previous site was in WordPress, and was not build to perfection. The third, for which development starts today, is for a medium-sized auditing firm in Johannesburg. It's a migration from Joomla [no idea what version, but it's, dare I say, revolting - I don't know how people used the old Joomla], but there isn't a terribly large amount of content, so I'm porting it over manually, after editors have changed it up a bit. And, lastly, the fourth (brand new site) is for a diversified marine and oil gas supply and service company Nigeria. So yeah, quite a bit on my plate. Must say that I'm glad PW swooped in - it's literally taken over my business.
