  1. hi joss, i definitely need a sync solution. work at a desktop pc in my office and on a laptop in my home office. need to have the same data on both devices. as far as i know, with a nas you need to install a solution like owncloud. or how do you sync (!) with this wd nas (if you do of course)?
  2. @diogo i've heard about this option but also rumors about sync performance problems ... do you do it this way with good experience? generally speaking: i better like nice clean solutions build right into the core of an application ;-)

    New Logo

no download buttons today - only shadows. chrome Version 33.0.1750.146 m on win 8.1.
  4. Hi Folks, today I gave up Wuala after using it for two years with a paid account. Again Wuala failed to sync in time and i accidentally overwrote data on my development server with a wrong file version loosing hours of work ... It's a nice concept, but it doesn't work. However, I'm considering Cubby as an alternative. The reason why is, that it allows me to maintain my directory structure on my hd as Wuala did. I don't have to move all my files to a special sync folder as with Google drive or Dropbox. So, simple question: Does anybody here use Cubby and can recommend it (or not)? Thanks, Christoph
  5. @martijn .push-x, .pull-x (http://unsemantic.com/css-documentation#6-push-amp-pull-classes) but indeed, if it is a race against the clock ...
  6. hmm, i recommend my own one: http://modules.processwire.com/modules/unsemantic-site-profile/ just give your divs inside .grid-container the class grid-33 and you are good to go. demo here: http://unsemantic.com/demo-responsive
  7. I'm on mac in the meantime. Happy but not enthusiastic. Some things are better than with Windows, some not. Surprising enough, I find the pricing reasonable now for what you get. Did upgrade my old T61 IBM notebook to a new SSD in seconds. No way to do something similar with a Mac. But after 8 years its life-cycle has come to an end. Had to replace it. Don't mind the glossy screen on retina MBP, it's ok. Could this have to do with the increasing integration between digital mixing consoles and DAWs?
  8. the cool thing with pure is, that it is modules. just need the css for a table? pick the according code pieces and forget the rest. no overhead and very convenient.
  9. hihi, this is a funny translation, isn't it? the site is great, congratulations. i love sites with big visuals. though i also experience loading times when scrolling (10 mbit dsl). and a map could have been an advantage, not everybody knows where to find nienburg-weser-region ... ;-)
  10. Hi Diogo, thanks, I would like to learn more about how you realized the filter function on http://www.ordenaracidade.pt/trabalhos/. What page structure did you choose and how do you filter it? But I don't want to take too much of your time. It's just more or less out of curiosity ...
  11. btw. It would be so nice to learn more about how you did this. Don't you have time for a short tutorial? Sure, you don't :-(
  12. sleak, modern, beautiful. very nice.
  13. @felix thanks for the hint. looks good. will check out.
  14. imho pw already has a logo. what it needs is an icon representing the logo/brand. we should take a second look at felix' admin theme layout and the icon he uses there http://processwire.com/talk/topic/4703-uiconceptdrafts-a-modern-admin-theme/
  15. BitNami comes bundled with XAMPP. You have to actively deselect it on installation if you don't want it. Would be good for awareness if PW could make it in ...
  16. This thread has become quiet unfortunately. I wonder if you (Felix) have any plans do continue with your admin theme? It's definitely outstanding ...
  17. I found the command line the easiest way to work with sass. Basically you need only one command: sass --watch. If you open the command line via windows file explorer from the directory where your .rb file lives you don't even have to navigate to the right directory. Btw. I don't know very much about Foundation, but doesn't it integrate Compass (http://compass-style.org/)? If so, Compass is a very convenient way of working with sass. Here is a short summary on working with sass from the command line: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/getting-started-saas/
  18. I love this kind of feedback! And I like the site very much. Well done.

great. seems as everybody is blogging these days. how do you get the spare time for this? anyway, looking forward to interesting posts. right the first one about file downloads has helped me a lot. thanks for it!
  21. Hi Philipp, nice, but a little bit more conventional compared to the one you had before (from my understanding of course). One remark to your tagline: It should be "... und verhilft Ihrer Marke ..." (again, from my understanding). Cheers Edit: The copywriting on your website in general is very good. Very clear, benefit-orientated, strong arguments. Convincing and converting. Did you do it yourself?
  22. Hi Pete, I like this site very much. Looks simple and a bit old fashioned at first glance, but is very modern under the hood and a lot of attention was paid to detail, in particular to usability. "Straightforward" in a very positive manner. Brilliant.
