how to forward a subdomain

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how to forward all subdomains to a single domain.

For example, if the user goes to ...

http://sharespost.com).

I saw some similar posts about this but nothing concrete.

Anyone have any thoughts? Any help is appreciated.

You need to replace the URL above with the URL you wish to direct to.

Be sure that you do not have any text sent to the browser before this,

or it will not work.

Put these lines in your htaccess:

RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^sharespost.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://sharespost.com/$1 [L,R=301]

using htaccess is probably the best method.

Something like

Options +FollowSymLinks

RewriteEngine on

RewriteRule (.*) http://yoursite.com/newpage/$1 [R=301,L]

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the redirect?
