apeisa Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 It is always interesting to find where processwire is mentioned, so this is the topic to post links to articles, blog posts, discussions, tweets etc which are about or related to ProcessWire. I started with this one, which is well written article about some basic differences between WP and PW: http://www.globi.ca/articles/articles/processwire_vs_wordpress/ 4
ryan Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Great thread. Beyond the PR text we've written and submitted to other sites, I haven't seen a lot written about PW. Most of our buzz pops up in forum threads about other CMSs, comments to blog posts about other CMSs, and on Twitter. This is all great of course. But when someone searches on Google for independent articles on ProcessWire, the majority of results are just our press releases on other sites. Here are a few articles I'm aware of about PW: Marc Carson has written some great things about PW on his site, like this and this and this. Clinton Skakun has written a lot of good PW articles. Like this one and several others. Though there may be occasional statements I don't think are 100% correct, but really like the effort and enthusiasm he's putting into writing about PW. There are some nice ProcessWire reviews on alternativeto.net
diogo Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I posted before on the forum this article in German http://web-developer-blog.com/2012/04/processwire-das-geniale-opensource-cms.html You can use google translate, just as i did 1

Pete Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I agree with that guy's generalisations - frameworks are always bad. I hate saving tonnes of time and love reinventing the wheel on a daily basis because I have nothing better to do and love watching the years fly by. 2
SiNNuT Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 intro and installation of PW http://bestproductips.blogspot.nl/2012/09/install-processwire-step-by-step.html 1
Nico Knoll Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 It is always interesting to find where processwire is mentioned, so this is the topic to post links to articles, blog posts, discussions, tweets etc which are about or related to ProcessWire. Soma Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 a nice review: ... Yeah a nice copy of the ProcessWire.com About section...
ryan Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 a nice review: http://free4network....ms-processwire/ Actually, that's not a review--that's our marketing copy. Looks like they copied and pasted it from these two pages: http://processwire.com/about/what/ http://processwire.com/about/why/ We allow this usage with our press releases, but not with our site copy. The ProcessWire site copy is not open source, so whoever posted this should have asked for permission before doing so. 3
interrobang Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Oops, sorry. And I thought someone had a really deep understanding of processwire. Maybe I should remove the links, so they doesn't get backlinks from here? 1
ryan Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Maybe I should remove the links, so they doesn't get backlinks from here? Good idea -- hope you don't mind but I went ahead and removed it myself. I'm glad you posted this though, I didn't realize another site was cloning our content like that, so it's good to know about.
drilonb Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I think its not same like in web here http://free4network.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/best-cms-processwire/ I know just one thing every one who start developing with ProcessWire will fall in love with it.
MadeMyDay Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Today the german "Webkrauts" published an article by Michael van Laar about PW in their advent calendar: http://webkrauts.de/...012/processwire I think by tomorrow the new revision of a german podcast called "Working Draft" will be published where I talked over 20 minutes about PW. And here it is: http://workingdraft.de/99/ [everything in german, sorry] 6
diogo Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I think by tomorrow the new revision of a german podcast called "Working Draft" will be published where I talked over 20 minutes about PW. I will update this post once it is online. Keep us posted on this. I'm trying to learn German, maybe I will give it a go
apeisa Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 That article looks great, very nice screenshots. It would be great to get it translated!
