@netcarver: Nice, but you don't have to delete "site-default" - only "/site/install/" because site default get's renamed to site while installing.
-
Hey, thank you for posting this workaround. Custom post types are currently not supported. (I don't even have test data for custom posts). Comments aren't supported as well at moment. But both will follow in the next time.
-
Could some one add a check if /site/install/ is deleted? Because it's a potential risk to leave it.

Hey, just wanted to tell you that my new tech blog (which gonna be a little bit like flamingruby.com in worse english) has finally a name and a new design. And this sweet animated icon It's not completely finished but the main design is ready. Responsive and some bugfixes will follow. What do you think: http://supercode.co/ -- nico

Well thank you all for your ideas. I have to say that I liked "knolledge" a lot but not quite fitting my needs (if I should build a better wikipedia I'll use this! ) but for now I just chose supercode.co and now I start t o use it

Hey, I used the ToolsTimeFormat module some time ago. Now I saw wireRelativeTimeStr() for the first time - and it seems like doing the same thing. Is there any difference? When was this function added? And how about multilanguage support in this function? -- Nico

@totoff: Not that easy. I tried a friend of mine to set up a blog ant thought WP.con might be a good option because free hosting. And after 20 minutes of struggeling in the backend I told her that we should use Tumblr instead. Now she uses Tumblr

Update: Migrator Wordpress 1.3 A lot of bug fixes are contained in this new update but the main change is that you can now adjust field and template names is the module's settings. That means that if you already created fields or templates or started with the blog profile or started with kongondos BlogMarkup you can import data right into the needed position In my testing it worked like a charm with adrian's new version. So go - try it yourself

ProcessWire Screencasts / Video Tutorials
Nico Knoll replied to Jonathan Lahijani's topic in Dev Talk
@jlahijani: I love this idea and the domain name sounds great (maybe you should wirecasts.tv, too) Maybe you could even include a "submit" function - which of course needs to be curated for best quality. Then other ProcessWire Users could submit their videos to a central space and you would have half of the work -
Thats what i meant in my pm, Adrian. The fields have got a "hard coded" parent after creating. And when importing a second time without removing the fields it keeps the parent because fields aren't overwritten (are they?) But at the end you only should have to use it one time so that won't be the problem but not really satisfying for me :/

Thank you this far! I just wanted to add that I don't like these new domain endings ...
-
Well I updated it to the new WXRparser and now it should work. Even if you are using Ryan's Blog profile. Maybe even better with it than without it
-
Could you try import it in a clean instalation? Without ryan's blog profile? Normally it should create everything by itself.
-
Have you checked if the categories aren't imported or only not assigned? FYI: Comments aren't working right now but they are WIP

Hey, I want to start a tech blog about web development, programming, coding, hardware stuff, ... but I have kind of no idea what domain name it should be. My current favorites are: codestination.co supercode.co Do you have any other (better) ideas? Doesn't need to have code in it. It just have to sound good and well ... I have to like it Please help me! -- Nico

That's not a ProcessWire error. Maybe your hoser doesn't allow PHP or some kind of safe mode enabled? Have a look at this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9368841/php-code-gets-turned-into-html-comments Could you maybe post a bit more of your code? Edit: This link looks better: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12828163/why-are-my-php-tags-converted-to-html-comments

@pwired: That site looks exactly like Vimeo?!

What does "autocomment" mean in this case?

Quill - An Open Source Rich Text Editor with an API
Nico Knoll replied to Beluga's topic in Dev Talk
Well I'm happy with my CS6 Collection -
Nope, but they are kind of really case-related. But you can take a look if you want to. Here are the files: shop hack.zip -- I added two new fields additionally to each product: sc_shipping (The shipping costs) and sc_tax (the input should be like 0.07 or 0.19 (because 19% => 0.19)).

Well I'm happy that it works. That's enough for me
