Nate, I don't see how front-end themes could come from just adding template engine. PW is much more flexible in it's data modelling than WP and markup generation (just like EE is) and that is the reason there cannot be traditional "themes" that can be just switched. Answer to that need in ProcessWire are site profiles. There ain't many yet, but as PW grows in popularity, I am sure we will see plenty of different site profiles that people can use as a starting points. Install "basic portfolio profile" and just tweak few settings in admin to manipulate the looks. In that scenario I think multiple template engines just confuse: "This product catalog profile is build using TWIG templating engine" or "This profile uses SMARTY as template engine". Instead of all them using just PW API and PHP. I am not sure if it is a good or bad thing to allow new template engines added easily. Probably good, though.

I think PW has the best module system in place I have ever seen. I haven't seen even a single example where it in real life usage falls short (ie. actually prevents or slows down module development). Or any example where getting rid of that static would make it much better?

Great stuff Martijn. Didn't test it yet, but interested to hear how it works. You add this field to a template, and this template becomes a newsletter. You can choose mailing list for the newsletter and the content comes from the actual page(?). Can you send the newsletter through PW also?

Change the inputfield from Select to PageListSelect. That shows pagetree and allows you to go deeper in structure.

It is to prevent data loss. All floats can be shown as text, but very few strings can be shown as floats.

Does this work: $page = wire('page') You need it in admin context? Edit: now that I think of it, wire('page') should return the page edit admin page. I think your method is fine. Of course you could check that the current page is admin with ProcessPageEdit process defined, if you want to play it safe.

Ah, ok. You probably don't have any use for page field there. I am not sure I understand your need yet, but sure - those tags can be used as a kind of "field metadata" outside of admin context too. Thanks for clarification, I have better understanding now.

Ah, those tags are only meant for combining fields to groups in admin view. So when you have lots of fields you can group them together. There is term tag in pw after all What you are describing sounds like you need to use Page field. That allows you to create dropdowns, radio buttons, checkboxes etc. and get those values in your templates. Are you familiar with Page-field yet?

Can you provide more information what you are trying to do? ProcessWire doesn't have anything called tags, so what you describe can be anything. Provide little bit more information/context and I am sure we can help you.

I agree with Teppo. Also just realized: we haven't got yet a single spam on our form builder forms - even without using any spam filtering. Not sure if there is some build in method always on or is the iFrame keeping bots away...

Of course, if your individual page has url that is reachable by search engine.

This helps greatly the future development. Whenever there are core changes on selectors (optimization, new features etc), these tests can be run and see that everything works like they should. AFAIK currently only selectors are tested, but this can be taken much further for all parts of the framework.

Not very familiar what happens behind the scenes, but have you tried $photo->width(410, $options) and $photo->height(410, $options) instead of size? Size gives you exact size you are asking and might get confused with 0 height / width.

I think I found the problem (after three days of debugging). Sometimes writing down the problem helps most. It doesn't have anything to do with the hook system. I just have another call for the hooked method - that is why the log works. Sorry for wasting your time (if anyone already read this).
