  1. And that's exactly what is working for each one of us. Finding php scripts in a (git) (on-line) repository for less skilled php coders that they might need in the future is very unlikely because each one of us has different skills, works on different projects with different levels and needs. You will never have all the php scripts in a repository that fits the bill for every situation. In those cases either learn to write your own php script or just ask help on a forum or search with google. Already tons of php forums and scripts out there. Unlike a module repository, php is a language that can / should be learned. There are a lot of past posts in this forum about php scripts and learning. http://www.webuilderapp.com/highlights.php http://www.scripts.com/php-scripts/ http://www.phpjunkyard.com/ http://www.hscripts.com/scripts/php/
  2. Well - here's actually the IDE that lets you simply code how it should. http://www.webuilderapp.com/ http://www.webuilderapp.com/highlights.php Makes coding (e.g. a website) no longer work, but a pleasure. Also makes this thread obsolete because of inbuild customizable Code Library and code folding http://processwire.com/talk/topic/1018-repository-of-php-scripts-for-templates/page-2#entry43079 And no I am not affiliated with them.
  3. Yes that lighttable IDE has an impressive concept. Lighttable already lets you work with html and css but how would you work with the api of processwire ?
  4. Well I think the IDE you are using is a good place to have the scripts you mentioned available, right there where you would need them while working on your website or project. Most good IDE's already come with included language definition files for php, html, html5, js, sql, etc. etc. You can customize and add anything you want right there. In the IDE snippets sidebar you can add your own snippets and other re-usable code and parts of a website you did in the past. In there you can even add your own comments to them for not forgetting important how and what See this post also about a superb IDE with inbuild code library repository http://processwire.com/talk/topic/3518-what-ide-do-you-utilize/page-3#entry43206
  5. Wowza, with the rate processwire and the forum is developing lately I wonder how it will be in a years time
  6. What ? Ryan or any other pro who knows about this, please confirm. I can hardly believe this because I remember old posts where the exact same questions are asked and pw should be able to function well until a couple of thousand pages. It is time to publish one day the hardcoded limits and performance range about processwire.
  7. What experience do you have ? Designer, coding, api, scripts ? We'll with processwire a coder can do this in half an hour. A designer can do it in half a day if you study the processwire api. Anyway processwire is the best shortcut to your goal. Obviously you haven't searched the forum because your question is already many times answered in the past there.
  8. Congrats with getting that project. PW has inbuild pagination for its cms pages (usable as folders, containers, settings, etc) and is made from the core up to be both fast and scalable. No worries with pw when your site is growing to a couple of thousand pages. One of the main reasons why many modx'ers switched to pw. (remember the months of discussions on the forum). So you can safely go for option 1. And I am sure the pro's here are going to come up with some extra tips and ways.
  9. Usable for front editing clients ?
  10. Respect if one can accomplish such a coding job.
  11. Here you go: Webshop you're gonna like: http://www.99points.info/2010/12/ajax-shopping-cart-with-jquery-and-php/ Webshop you're gonna love: http://conceptlogic.com/jcart/about.php Easy to integrate with pw.
  12. No you don't. That page writes only about processwire itself, not about a second other product (cms) that is being hyped, status quoed etc. in comparison with facts about pw. My point is that facts do not rule our world.
  13. No product based on inner principles (core) designed to work out very effectively (pw user) can win from something that is being hyped on the outside, emotionlized and status quoed. This is engineered to populate or sell. Heck even social engineering is on the rise to profile your self in society and have more success (e.g. being popular and also in finding a job faster in todays crisis). Just think of it but simply how things are. Just my 50 cts. Could give you another example that I see growing in newspapers last 5 years.
  14. Remember teleport ? Good site ripper I used in the past.
  15. Switching from drupal to processwire http://processwire.com/talk/topic/1015-switching-from-drupal-to-processwire/page__view__findpost__p__8988 Taken from this starters thread: http://processwire.com/talk/topic/4173-grouped-forum-posts-links-articles-tutorials-code-snippets/
  16. Check this out first : http://ping13.net/hacks/dropbox-and-webdav/ Or DIY with any drive mapping utility based on Webdrive technology. (such as free novell netdrive 4.1) Then on top use your own sync program. Or even more easy use dropdav (good, but not for free) Or this https://www.free-hidrive.com/product/overview.html
  17. This thread is going great, some real good site tools in here !!
  18. XCode doesn't have the libraries and linker to compile Windows executables ? What about .NET exe files by using the Mono C# compiler ? - Anyway - check this one out: Go to time point 06:10 but I'm sure your gonna like the rest also

Thor 2 - Riddick 2 - Pacific Rim - more than enough fun
  20. This topic could use more posts to know more about a pw workflow with a good local/on-line sync.
  21. jap cms ha ha that's a good one. Me neither want to see pw go a status quo for the masses route. Should stay hard core with power limited only by the skills of the user. Something that that other cms never became: stripped down and tuned up. I also would love to strip down and tune up my car and start roaring the streets.

    IBM does it again

Just found this article with interesting IBM development. IBM leaves the Von Neumann architecture that is in your computer today and opens doors to brain based computing in a distributed, parallel way, like the neurons and synapses in a brain. “Programs” are written using special blueprints called corelets. Each corelet specifies the basic functioning of a network of neurosynaptic cores. Goal is to create cognitive computers who can process huge amounts of data fast and with little energy. http://www.technologyreview.com/news/517876/ibm-scientists-show-blueprints-for-brain-like-computing/
