matjazp Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Module: Auto Smush PDF https://github.com/matjazpotocnik/AutoSmushPDF Compress PDF files automatically on upload, manually by clicking the link for each file and in bulk mode for all PDF files. In Automatic mode PDF files that are uploaded are automatically compressed. In Manual mode "Compress" link will be present. This allows manual compression of the individual PDF file. In Bulk mode all PDF files can be compressed in one click. Will process PDF files sitewide, use with caution! Using https://labstack.com/, free (at the moment) online web service that provides compressing of PDF files. There is no limit in file size and no limit on number of uploaded PDF's. No privacy policy available. EDIT April 30 2017: This module is not working anymore as Labstack removed support for pdf compression. 4
netcarver Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Hi @matjazp, How did you happen to find out about the compression API at labstack? When I look at the site, there seems to be zero documentation about that feature. Regards,
netcarver Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 BTW, if you have GhostScript installed on your server, you can use it to compress PDFs locally using a command-line call... gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dCompatibilityLevel=1.4 -dPDFSETTINGS=/ebook -dNOPAUSE -dQUIET -dBATCH -sOutputFile=out.pdf in.pdf Source: SuperUser.com (See 2nd answer.) 3

It was documented on labstack pages and AutoSmushPDF was working like a month ago, but it looks like they decided to remove support for this api. The module is not working any more :-( @adrian would you remove the module from modules directory?
