  1. Thanks jlahijani for listing up those ecommerce systems. I have tried a few of them my self and ended up with OpenCart. I found that it has a very easy accessible and understandable backend for a shop owner to work with. It is a very fast ecommerce system, like processwire it uses php both directly as a language and a framework. The inside structure of OpenCart is similar to processwire and you can code OpenCart as freely as with Processwire. http://jumprit.wikansaged.com/opencart-theme-a-guide/ Can you mention some things you don´t like how they work in opencart ?
  2. Pete, that is how it looks at the moment. http://www.whois.com/whois/b o d y - s a l v a t i o n . c o m (remove the spaces, does that help anyway ?) New registar company is internet.bs I don't know who was the former registar company because my boss was doing the billing and administration for that. He hires me to do the site maintenance and I had only access to cpanel and ftp. But that is lost also because it depends on the domain pointing to the webhoster which is aaa.hosting.de They are without blame. internet.bs seems to be the new registar company but under what registrant name ? Don't understand. I found their contact email address contact-en@internet.bs and sent them an email hoping they will respond.
  3. Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited
  4. I have no access anymore to cpanel and ftp The hoster said this is because the domain no longer points to his server. Yes I know but I thought this would be the best place for me to ask.
  5. My clients domainname got stolen. There was a webshop on it with health products. If you try to open the domain now in your browser A white and sometims a grey screen comes up. However if you right click and go to View Page Source there is all kind of info there such as clicktrackUrl: 'http://parkingcrew.net/ I did not make this webshop but maintained it for somebody after his webmaster moved to another country. This is the stolen domain, I write it with spaces trying to keep it out of google indexing this post. b o d y - s a l v a t i o n dot com how could this happen ? I am not so good at this but If anyone can have a look in View Page Source and maybe can see who took the domain and maybe more things. Thanks
  6. Thanks adrian, not only for this new module but also for your abundant supporting posts and contributions in this forum.
  7. Many of you already know this right ? Just found out my self http://jumprit.wikansaged.com/opencart-theme-a-guide/
  8. Great article, thanks. Will give gumroad a try. Also found digitalriver.
  9. Hi Searched but there are no pw modules or pw scripts that I could find. Anyone knows how to setup payed downloads with a pw site ?
  10. And here we have it: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension/info&extension_id=8588 <= available for 1.5.6.4 =>
  11. Would it be usable for version control ?
  12. I'm playing around in OpenCart v1.5.6.4 lately and really feel at home. Came across vQMod and boy does it give flexibility. Have you guys been using this and what do you think ? https://code.google.com/p/vqmod/ http://code.google.com/p/vqmod/wiki/Examples
  13. Hi, Maybe a silly question but could not find the answer anywhere. Is it possible that more people simultaneously work on the admin \ backend ? Let´s say 3 or 4 people login and all simultaneously edit, configure and do things inside the admin \ backend. Is it possible that this can crash something ? Thanks

    World Cup 2014

Argentina played better in the beginning, they even had 2 opportunities. In the end both parties played desperate and ugly but Mario Götze bumped the ball well on his breast from where he placed a calculated shot in the corner, hervorragend ! Was nice to see Merkel shaking hands with people. She was white red dressed. Did you know that this tournament cost the Brazilian government at around $14 billion ? Largely on stadium works, infrastructure projects and security. Speaking about money, Germany cashed in $35 million, Argentina received $25 million as the runner-up, The Dutch $20 million for finishing third and Brazil earned $18 million for fourth place. Edit: Scolari has been fired by the CBF after Brazil was crushed by Germany in a 7-1 defeat and also lost the game for third place 3-0 to the Netherlands on Saturday.

    Hosting advice

@macrura - yes - from my own experience this week, you should really look at opencart. OpenCart seems to have the same architecture as processwire: say what !? I´m already running checks on it and I can tell you that it is a very fast webshop. And to my big surprise, under the hood, opencart looks very similar to processwire !!! I think we have a winner webshop here ! Will report back on this later on. Edit: Lots of modules and templates available. (saves precious time) Look what I found here - yeah ! http://inanecoding.co.uk/piwik-opencart-ecommerce-vqmod/

    Light-years ahead

+1 Couldn´t have said it better. Coming from all kind of cms'es (modx) out there that I tried out in the past, I ended up with processwire. No third party framework bounded to a cms architecture but api using php directly as language and framework. Giving you all the playground and freedom you can wish (and speed)

    Processwire and SEO

Hi Kae, About processwire and seo: https://processwire.com/talk/topic/45-url-schema/ https://processwire.com/talk/topic/4957-seo-optimization-module/ http://modules.processwire.com/modules/piwik-top-keywords/
  20. Did you know that a lot of ex-modx'ers found refuge in processwire ? You can find them here in the forum.

    World Cup 2014

Penalties in the end is not really football. The Dutch were not so penalty lucky with Argentina as with Costa Rica. But ok the Dutch won't have to loose face in front of Germany, that is left for Argentina. Van Gaal showed him self a very strategic man and won many dutch hearts. Germany is probably gonna have it's end sieg.
  22. @ Macrura - yes, same experience here, impressive back end, beautiful template, both responsive. But, what I experience from prestashop v.1.6.0.8 is that both back and front end pages don't load well in a browser (tested firefox and ie) Sometimes pages load normal but most of the times pages load slow or not at all. Many times a page loads in the browser and then gets stuck loading, letting you wait forever and force you to reload the page. Anyone having the same experience ? Edit: What do you guys think of this ? http://www.tmdhosting.com/prestashop-hosting.html My gut feeling tells me to look for a webshop with a fast back and front end and simply buy extra admin modules and a beautiful responsive template. And it must have dhl online package tracking, can't do without that !

: Summary of Germany - Brazil Prost
  24. I don't follow forum recommendations out there so much anymore about their webshop recommendations, as I did with abantecart ! You have to try for your self and very important: also let other non tech people work with both back and front end and find out what they experience. The latter made me see with their eyes that abantecart lacks both elementary administration features and accessability in an understandable way by non tech shop owners. (also multi language does not work properly in abantecart) Since last week I am back on PrestaShop. I noticed that latest version 1.6.0.8 comes with a responsive back and front end and with a very beautiful and professional template. Both back end and template are really impressive ! I showed it to my boss and he also is impressed but sceptical about the back end. First he wants to check him self on the administration features in the back end before he gives the green light to fill it all up with his products. We can't afford to loose time again like we did with abantecart. Time = Money ! If you run Prestashop 1.6.0.8 on shared hosting, be sure to have a fast internet connection and configure max_input_vars set to 1700 and max_connections to 300 allow_persistent = Off and mysql.allow_persistent = Off, set feed history to 3 or 4 days. However, most shared hosting don't allow such custom configurations. In that case you have to move to vps hosting or better. I am also testing openshift hosting from red hat but it's complicated to setup. I'll post back more about Prestashop 1.6.0.8
