    I am in love.

Spoken from a recognized experience - welcome to processwire. http://codingpad.maryspad.com/2013/07/19/interview-with-ryan-cramer-processwire-cms-founder-and-lead-developer/
  4. What about setting something up to teach how to make more out of the pw api ?
  5. Hi Peter, This is what I mostly use for tuning websites, it may show you in your case any bottlenecks. http://loadimpact.com/
  6. @ this issue: It is called inconvenient truth. For some people here there will never come a point in time, where they will say as things really are. Then there are also people here who simply do not react at all on posts with a certain kind of content. From now on I will join them. ============================================================ For the sake of it, now go here: https://processwire.com/talk/topic/8517-eu-vat-for-business-to-consumer-suppliers-of-digital-services/page-6#entry84928
  7. If it's not related with processwire (coding, html, css, js in general) I look elsewhere. What I noticed lately that starters simply jump in and expect an instant answer. They don't seem to bother searching the forum.
  8. what is wrong with stackoverflow ?
  9. go through this thread just to get into it: https://processwire.com/talk/topic/2979-multi-language-page-names-urls/ then follow these threads to set it up: https://processwire.com/talk/topic/5518-multi-language-site/ https://processwire.com/talk/topic/2872-replacing-german-chars-in-page-name-url/ https://processwire.com/talk/topic/3289-multiple-trees-set-one-tree-as-root/ https://processwire.com/talk/topic/2979-multi-language-page-names-urls/page-3
  10. dude I don't have time to dig it up for you but this is already posted all over the forum. i remember some posts from philipp, just look for them. Setting it up is only installing the corresponding modules and do some settings in the admin. If you choose multi language during processwire setup you can use ryan's code that is already there to setup your own language flag selectors on the front.
  11. no need to reinvent the wheel but you could use processwire as a front of one of these: http://www.codefear.com/scripts/5-best-php-forum-bulletin-board-script/
  12. Each time I had a call to a member function .... error I had either a file or a piece of code in a file missing.
  13. You have a file somewhere missing.
  14. Thanks for sharing this and great site.
  15. Linux version antiX-13.2 (fast) with Lamp and Zimbra No special hardware like a rack server or nas, just and old box where I have put my own motherboard ASRock Z87 with intel i5 and 8G ram. Instead of UPS I use a 12V car battery with a converter to 220 V ac. It's all placed in a basement so there are no cooling problems. I don't have to pay for electricity or something. The only thing I pay is that I share with them their monthly internet bill. I certainly am curious what will be the downtime during a year. I want to see if the whole thing will be useful to script automate making backups, pings, check webshop email workings, etc. Will free up time to do other things.
  16. Here is more shiny stuff, you guys know it ? http://anydesk.com/remote-desktop
  17. @Joss, I took the advice of Diogo and not put client websites on it. I put owncloud on it and a few sites of my own, the whole thing is actually for me to learn new things.
  18. Renting a corner in a basement in an area where they have internet over fibre optics 100 down and 50 up. Want to setup my own linux box server that I can manage from home where I only have 6 down and 500 kb up.
  19. Although you mention a nice concept there I hope it will never enter inside processwire simply because those http abstractions go beyond the scope of processwire. Processwire, for the purpose it was made, already has it's own unique concept where you can make sites, applications, interfaces like never seen before.

    Zimbra Anyone ?

It is more an idealistic intend to offer and promote zero privacy violation email. At the same time it will give me some indication how many ppl out there really are looking for this. And if enough maybe sell publicity only on the login page. No idea really if this is something realistic but will be worth the try.

    Zimbra Anyone ?

People are getting tired of the growing arrogant privacy violations done by google, facebook, etc. the list goes on. My idea is to offer email with zero privacy violations. Maybe I should setup a linux box and simply start experimenting.
  22. Has anyone experience with installing and running Zimbra Collaboration ? http://www.zimbra.com/downloads/zimbra-collaboration-open-source
  23. Yes !
  24. This might help: https://processwire.com/talk/topic/52-how-do-i-upgrade-processwire-to-the-latest-version/
