Hey,

I needed a newsletter system for two websites I'm currently building. So I wrote a standalone ProcessWire newsletter system called: MarkupNewsletter

The video below shows the workflow:

Hope you like it! Please report any bugs or questions here.

(I'll add it to the modules section after a short beta time).

@Nico -

This looks really great! I've been trying to figure out a way to incorporate some email sending features into a site i'm building - i wonder if this module could be a starting point;  How hard would it be to add a "send on date" on a newsletter and then have a cron job running to send at that time...

Really easy I guess because sending and creating a newsletter are separated. So you could create it and then hook into the send function and combine this with a cron job.

Loving the look of this - it would probably be relatively easy to integrate with Mandrill for sending (and lists etc, as that system handles bounces etc). Something I'll look into myself further down the line unless you beat me to it :)

:( Don't suppose you want to send a copy my way to have a peek at before you disappear for 3 weeks on your InterRail trip?

You're such a tease! ;)

yeah, i wouldn't mind having a look at the module, as a basis for the one that i was previously mentioning (sending single emails out on a pre selected date)...
