Is the field setup for multiple images? If it is try: echo "<img src='{$image->first()->url}' class='thumb'>";
-
Shouldn't it be: echo "<img src='{$image->url}' class='thumb'>"; ?

I think there's a couple of peops here using LiquidWeb. Maybe they can shed the light.
-
Haven't seen that before. Who's the host?
-
@Vineet Indeed it is a modified version of Simple Grid as @arjen pointed out. I've used it a few times and it's my favourite grid starter kit so far. @arjen Thanks!

I tend to set up a 'Settings" page with a heaps of fields I can use anywhere. Something like this might work: <img src='" . $pages->get('/settings/')->images->eq(0)->url . "'/> or simply: <img src='" . $page->images->eq(0)->url . "'/>

Sometimes elements of your good design can go to a good home on another website.

On Flickr you can either choose HTML embed code or BBCode. Here's a BBCode example: [url= ][img]http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5506/9061328126_bac63857c2_z.jpg[/img][/url] [url= ]Pike reflection[/url] by [url=http://www.flickr.com/people/sparth/]sparth[/url], on Flickr Here's the HTML example: <a href=" " title="Pike reflection by sparth, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5506/9061328126_bac63857c2_z.jpg" width="640" height="426" alt="Pike reflection"></a> I had that thought as well about using Hanna Code for this but couldn't figure out how to a) get that image url out of that BBCode and b) get around TinyMCE stripping it out completely.
-
Ah yes. Flickr has a way to embed an image elsewhere - there's a share icon on most images. You can either use html code or bbcode. I'm thinking that it's an ok way to thread Flickr images through a blog post for example.
-
So if you can't use this in a field set as TinyMCE (or CKEditor) how would one place/use the BBCode from Flickr for example?
-
Thanks for the feedback everyone. @dragan: Thanks, sorted. @antti: Thanks @horst: I'll give that a go when I'm next near the site. Thanks.

Hi everyone, This site got a responsive refresh today - it's practically a brand new site. http://walkerabercrombie.com.au/ Cheers Marty

Tiny mind blown...

You should have access to the form builder section of the forum.

One thing I've just noticed with this CKEditor is that curly quotes don't work (for me at least) even when I have SmartyPants Typographer. If I switch my body field back to TinyMCE and resave my page I get curly quotes. No big deal but just thought I'd mention it.

Great work!

Not sure. Everything looked to be fine. But it's working now -
Hi, I have a series of sites I'm building which are, for the most part, reasonably straight-forward. But there's an element to each one that I'd rather give to someone else to work out for me. The site is for a day care centre (part of this service) which has 3 'rooms' - one room for each age group (o-2, 2-3 & 3-5 years). In each room there are approximately 30-35 children. The task I've been set is to give the parent of each child a unique login with which to view their child's portfolio at the end of the year (it might be a PDF or a gallery of jpegs, I'm not sure yet). Additionally each room has a daily 'diary' and if you're the parent of a child in that room you can also see a gallery of images for that day. Home - Rooms - 2013 -- Room A --- John Johnson --- Frank Smith --- Bertie Jones --- etc -- Room B --- Mark Smith --- Ted Nelson --- etc - Daily Diary -- 2013 --- Room A ---- 29 March ---- 30 March ---- etc --- Room B ---- 29 March ---- 30 March --- Room C ---- 29 March ---- 30 March In the PW admin I need a straight-forward admin page that the administrator of each section can: a. Create a username & password - and be able email it when necessary to that parent. b. Assign selected pages (most likely just the diary page and their child's page - they may have more than one child at the centre) to that user so that only they can see it c. Help with template code and code for login forms & password reminders At this stage I'm happy to be guided by the bigger PW-brained people as to how best to achieve this - and how much it'll cost of course. The crucial thing is having the user admin be easy to use as the folk using it haven't used ProcessWire before. Regards Marty

Hey diogo, Are there any plans to allow multiple images ("{images:1,2,3,4,5} or even {images:1-5}") as you mentioned in this new thread? I don't think Adam Kiss has gotten around to rounding off his alternative module. And are there any plans to allow a template for the image html in the module settings rather than having to mod the module?

The only two errors I'm getting are: Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Antarctica/Macquarie' for 'EST/10.0/no DST' instead in /home/site/public_html/pwinstall/grabpw.php on line 73 Warning: file_get_contents(http://grab.pw) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! in /home/site/public_html/pwinstall/grabpw.php on line 73 File could not be downloaded http://grab.pw -

Very cool Philipp! A great time saver. It worked great on one of my cheapo accounts. Now I just need to enable ZipArchive on my others and I'm set. Cheers Marty -
I'm a long time Adobe CS user and PS used to be what I designed in - FW has never gelled with me at all. Then I used Keynote for a while which was quite good for doing simple stuff. I'm currently using Sketch which I think has great potential to cover all the design bases for me. There are some niggles and some features that are needed: master pages, paste-in-place, being able to alter grid visibility, better type styling. I could go on!

Thanks diogo. The problem with my site is that the structure is three levels deep. I don't think that will work. Ideally if I'm on the first shot of one section my 'previous' will need to go to the last shot of the section before it.

Thanks Marc. Good idea with the global arrow navigation. I'd like to know how to do that too. Cheers Marty
