how could I customize the page edit layout ?

out of the box, all fields of page edit is from top down.

If a page have many fields, page editing or creation is not quit user friendly, user have to scroll a long listing page.

is it possible to customize the page edit layout ?

Let say some fields could be arrange in two or three columns or grouped in tabbed pages

Welcome to the forums. Fields can have a column width assigned under "details". You can also assign a column width on a per template basis.

There is a field type called "FieldsetTab" that will allow you to group fields into a new tab.

I always set widths per template basis. Edit template, click field name and set width on modal. Fields should always sum up to 100%.
