Upgrading from 3.0.33 to dev 3.0.57 everything but homepage (on 1pg site though) says not found so can't log in backend

I replaced /wire/, /.htaccess and /index.php those of the with current development version and it does that.

Had you changed the rewrite base in the old .htaccess ?

Do you have debug mode on to see possible errors?

Maybe you can check your web server error log to see if any clues there.
