Well, I'm probably half way between the two! Problem with being from the Midlands - got the northerners and the southerners against you

So many! But none whatsoever about the web. Reading is my escape time!

Thanks guys, I'd obviously not saved the correct template as all is now working fine

I just tried to implement headlines for the first time in a site and using the sample code of Ryan's: <?php echo $page->get("headline|title"); ?> I definitely have headline field attached to the template and it's not empty, not sure why the title is getting used and not the headline? Could anyone point in the right direction?

Thanks all of you.

Sorry guys, I think it was due to not specifying the absolute path to my stylesheet. It's been a while since I kept my stylesheet outside templates folder
-
Hi guys, Do any of you have any idea why my stylesheet is coming up empty on any page other than the homepage? Thanks. EDIT: If I view source and click on the stylesheet it says "Error Exception: Template file does not exist" - it's looking for my 404 template.

Any of you guys running with an external monitor have any tips to get any audio off of it?

Hi Nico, as my iMac is older and slower than my MacBook Pro, I'm thinking of going the way you do. Was just interested how you get sound? Or do you not?

Cheers Joss, nice to hear it! How's things in MK?

Sorry, yes I mean I always used both max-width and height auto since building responsive sites, don't know what the issue I had was but I could've sworn there was one!
-
Thanks Luis

I've always used max-width: 100% before but pretty sure I ran into a problem anyway though I can't remember why...

Hi Woop, not sure if I understand correctly but the repeater has its own field name as do the fields contained within that repeater field. Eg: my_repeater -- repeater_field1 -- repeater_field2

bootsrap framework tabs with processwire
onjegolders replied to sakkoulas's topic in General Support
Hi Sakkoulas, welcome to Processwire! Can you tell us exactly what gets output? Normally you would specify $page->children() as opposed to $page->children but doubt that is the issue. -
Moved back to Dropbox and all was still slow, constantly indexing and downloading file list, dl/ul speeds of 4kb/sec , finally managed to uninstall, unlink, and pretty much start again and it's actually been very quick. The whole lot seemed to upload in less than 30 minutes and downloading isn't taking too much longer.

Thanks Diogo though Command line is a bit beyond me at the moment and I need to be able to upload the contents somewhere to download it at a different location. The Cloud seems the logical choice to me? Has anyone had any experience of syncing their mamp folders to the cloud? How long it took etc?
-
You're right I was coming to the same conclusion! Still, I find it pretty slow, the number of uploads it says it has to do is still going up so I have no idea how long it will take still!

On Arjen's thread, Apeisa's solution works for me with the caveat he mentions.

Thanks, I think the LAN thing is of no great use to me. I was going that way with Cubby then realized that both computers had to be on at the same time which sort of rules out syncing with my laptop if I leave it at home. Besides, I'd rather have the stuff backed up properly. Have now ditched Cubby as it seemed to be in an endless upload cycle. I'm trying SugarSync but may end up going back with Dropbox. One frustration that seems to be shared with all these solutions is just how slow it is to do the initial upload! My MAMP folder is only about 700MB but at this rate it could take days! Can't imagine what it would be like to upload GBs of stuff!

Looks really nice Didjee! The hover on the menu is a bit sluggish (slow) for my tastes but I like the site!

OK, I think I'm getting there, I'm having to store my htdocs and db folders outside the "Applications" folder and symlinking to them using SymbolicLinker. Think I'll USB the files over initially as it will take days otherwise!
-
Thanks Yellow. Yep Luis, it all seems to work ok but it does say in the FAQ that Cubby doesn't allow to use folders that are children of "Applications" so that may be it. Does it work for you or have you not tried with MAMP? It also doesn't appear to like symlinks so not sure that would be an option, though it worked with Dropbox...
-
Hiya Luis, I don't have that option on any of my folders. Strange. Also was thinking it may be that MAMP stores its folders underneath Applications. Do you have MAMP synced currently using Cubby? Is it definitely possible? Thanks again
-
Thanks, I'm having a problem syncing my mamp folder to cubby. It did used to be synced with DropbBox though it isn't any longer and when I try to drag&drop the folder, nothing happens. Any idea why this may be happening?
