This looks nice. Will check it out over the holiday.

Soma, this is very cool. Thank you!

I'll stand at the gates as part of the welcoming committee.

.galleries_box { min-height: 330px; } That seems to make it look pretty nice. You may need to tweak at other break points.

Great work! I can't recommend Skeleton enough if all you need is a responsive grid. That said, bootstrap is an amazing resource, and I use it quite a bit myself. One small suggestion. It would be nice if the boxes on the Galleries page were all the same height. Maybe a min-height that changed at various breakpoints, or a JS solution to find the height of the tallest box and then match the others? Overall, a very nice site.

Configuring Wordpress Plugins [PHP files] as modules
renobird replied to JJS's topic in Module/Plugin Development
^ that is the best way to port the plugins. -
Soma, thanks for posting this, and on a personal level, thanks for all your patient and kind help. I'm just smiling, because I can't express my thoughts/feelings any better than many of you have already done.

I have to agree with adamspruijt here. I thought about mentioning that earlier, but felt like I used up my critique quota.

Looks better either way.

I have a couple screenshots, where should I send them?

Wooo! Congratulations to Ryan and everyone else who has contributed to Processwire and the community!

At the risk of being overly critical (keep in mind it's out of absolute love) — something about the white line under the nav area feels weird to me. Quick suggestion might be something like this: P.S. In that screenshot above, I also removed the shadows from the around icons. The icons are great, but the shadowing kind of makes that area look a little grubby. That said, this design is some very nice work "yet-to-be-named designer"

Hey Ryan, Totally understand (and agree with) your points. My 2 cents would be to show the default admin first, and then rotate into a theme. Despite my few tweaks, I really like the default theme. Might also be nice to have a way to give some details about what each screenshot is showing. I'm not suggesting to make it look like this, it's just the first example that came to mind: http://www.realmacso...re.com/courier/ Anyhow, I'll shut up on that subject for now — I should know by now that whatever you have planned will be amazing. Re: My admin tweaks. Would be honored to have those included on the default theme. I have only made a few small CSS changes that effect things when wrapped in a Fieldset. Probably pretty easy to extend to the entire admin. I'll see if I can put that together as a theme to test it out. Update: It also doesn't hurt to read the entire thread before commenting.

Was just wondering about that — seems misleading to me. Don't get me wrong, I love the Futura admin theme, but I think it would be better to feature the default theme.

I'm a big fan of Typekit.

Wow, Thanks Ryan! Very much appreciated. I'll digest that and take a shot at setting this up. The data source for this will be Processwire pages.

Further digging has uncovered: http://processwire.com/talk/topic/1417-export-array-to-json-format/#entry12745 http://processwire.com/talk/topic/1539-pagestojson/page__hl__json I'll start start with these and see how much I can sort out.

Here's a thread on creating a custom login: http://processwire.com/talk/topic/107-custom-login/ The ideas in that thread will let you create a front end login, but to keep users out of the PW admin you would need to create a custom module. I haven't actually developed any modules myself, but I'm sure someone can give you a nudge in the right direction.

Hi Ryan, would you mind sharing some details on how you integrated FullCalendar? I've never setup a JSON feed, so I'm not quite sure where to start. I built a similar type of calendar a while back using Textpattern, and I'd like to accomplish the same thing with Processwire and FullCalendar. Even a nudge in the right direction would be helpful.

Pete, I think just a basic tutorial would be great. Grabbing a theme from Themeforest is an excellent idea (can show folks how easy it is to incorporate Processwire). You're right, the blog aspect is a little more complicated, maybe that can be "Part II"?
-
Ryan, One small bit of feedback on the calendar. Museo is a bit hard to read (and doesn't render all that well) for the event titles in the grid view. Maybe just a standard web font there would be better?
