Nico Knoll Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Hey, could anyone provide the current PW logo as a vector? I'm working on some animation stuff (completely new in this section). A really not polished sample (first play around with After Effects) using a self-made vector of the logo: 1
Beluga Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 For vector animation, you could consider Synfig. It supports frame-by-frame these days, too.
pwired Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/12/05/20-vector-graphic-editors-reviewed/ first play around with After Effects . . . . . Are you the happy owner of after effects ? How much did you pay for it.
Nico Knoll Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Got it for ehm free. I'm a poor student so this is okay. 1 1
Joss Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Okay, just stared at it too long and now I am feeling sick! Going to water my veggies. 2
Martijn Geerts Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 @Joss: Just discovered my cauliflower showing her white curd... ( didn't thought that would happen ) 2
Pete Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 My face when the logo appears -> My face when it disappears -> Repeat... 2
Nico Knoll Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 I made a video too: (it's converting currently) 4
Joss Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 My face when the logo appears -> My face when it disappears -> Repeat... So this reminds me of the joke about the man who asked is friend if the indicators (signals) on his car were working: "Yes it is, no it isn't, yes it is, no it isn't...." 4
Nico Knoll Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 If someone want's to use this as kind of an intro or want to play around with it just drop me a line and I'll send you the after effects file or rendered 1080p version of it. If you need another background just give me the image and I'll create a video or you. I think that would be a great addition for the screencasts we recently talked about. 1
einsteinsboi Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 That's a great intro video. I may be interested once I start editing my screencasts and getting them ready for primetime 3

Hey, I'm not sure about that but you can try other different vector program for windows for your issue. Some of which I personally use are: 1. Gravit Designer 2. Vectr 3. SVG Edit There are other great tools too but I would suggest you to read more about them before deciding which one would be best for you.
Christophe Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 I'm adding sK1 2.0 (ex.PrintDesign) and Affinity Designer to complete the list in this topic.
Christophe Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 For 2D animation, Synfig was already mentioned, and there is also Blender's Grease Pencil, for instance.
