Wake up. Work with ProcessWire. Drink coffee. Repeat.

Anyone else wonder how they got so lucky to be able to work with ProcessWire every day? 🤗

I often wonder if developers on other systems feel the same.

What are you working on today?

Nice view you got there. But I could never ever work on a keyboard without a numeric keypad 😉

It was nice until my wife arrived home and the monitor was promptly relocated off the kitchen table 😂

Re. numeric keypad. Is that because you are a proper developer? Using them mainly for coding?

I have to type in quite a few numbers a day, its just more convenient for me.

I think I just moved to this one because it has touch ID and USB charging. I'm sure the numeric keyboards now have all those, but I couldn't go back. My mouse position Vs edge of keyboard has been re-established.

Since back in 1996 I'm a big fan and user of the smallest Cherry Keyboards, with and without NumPads.
But mainly the types without NumPads, CHERRY G84-4100:

But on my primary Desktop working place I use a Razer Huntsman Elite RZ03-0187 :

All looking well used. I've been tempted to try the Razer stuff. It looks very nice, but my Razer machine, which I use for gaming, already has enough glowing lights.

Thank you. Its my office office.

Would like to have a view with nature like you, but it is in city centre. At least I have a quiet workplace.
My home office has a better view on nature. 😊

@AndZyk Your Mac desktop and your real desktop are very clean 🥇
Re. the view, it's just a park at the back of the home office. Not quite the countryside, but nice to have some greenery.

😄 If I could, I would turn it off for ever, but haven`t found a way. So I use a very low gliw and 80% is white light.

I found this in a local media store for under 50% of the regular price, maybe between 5 - 7 years ago.

No Num-Pad you say? Then you aren't ready for this...

Vortex Core, Cherry MX Brown switches...

the split space bar is interesting. You have it configured for different actions. Let me guess. Space and outer space? But seriously…what do you you use the extra one for?

Just Googled it Max. What do you like about it?

Sound and sensitivity of button presses. I also tried MX Keys for Mac, it's terrible. I returned it after a few days.

That's strange, as that's what I use and I like it. The only thing I do not like about it is the battery. There is no official replacement battery, which is a shame. I ordered my first third-party replacement for it two months ago and it was performing badly right from the beginning.

Is that an early version? I imagine they have either replaceable batteries now.,

I really like the mini Pebble by Logitech and it has replaceable AAA batteries. Probably too small for your usage with no num pad.

I appreciate the multi device connection support. Handy when I need to switch from work to gaming machines 🙂

It is from 2021. I do not see any trace of the new version having replaceable battery:
https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/mx-keys-s
As always, companies are so proud to be green: "15.87 kg CO2e carbon footprint." Yet they want to force me to buy a brand new unit if I want a better battery.
Planned obsolescence: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_obsolescence at its finest. So we have less CO2 and more junk.
But: https://www.nasa.gov/centers-and-facilities/goddard/carbon-dioxide-fertilization-greening-earth-study-finds/
"Studies have shown that plants acclimatize, or adjust, to rising carbon dioxide concentration and the fertilization effect diminishes over time."
I must believe one study, but not the other one, and they will tell me which study to believe in. OK, I get that. So they want me to believe that while nature is recovering, that’s actually bad news, because their selected studies say so, and who am I to question their selected studies? I am just a dumb IT guy, and they know everything better, since they publish a lot of papers no one reads.
