  1. related to this topic on wireSendFile(). I've been trying to create a RSS feed for a podcast which i've done previously using PW 2.7.2 with no trouble (e.g. http://machine-ethics.net/), however sitting on the same infustructure a new site (http://www.threepointspodcast.com/) on PW 3.0.42 is having issues validating with itunes with this error from them: Can’t submit your feed. Your episodes are hosted on a server which does not support byte-range requests. Enable byte-range requests and try again. Which is obviously untrue as the other podcast works fine. Just wondering if there's something I need to add in the template settings etc to make it work, I'm currently running the .mp3 file out using wireSendFile() and setting the type to application/mp3 in template settings but with no avail. I'm running nginx. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Hello I made a simple app for reading the main RSS for ProcessWire news. Now you can access ProcessWire Blog, ProcessWire weekly and the Latest Forum Posts in a Single App in your iOS or Android smartphone. Open Source of Course. Made using the http://jasonette.com technology. You can compile your own app if you want. For A Quick Look 1.- Download the Jason App (iOS) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/jason./id1095557868?mt=8 (Android) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jasonette.jason 2.- Use the Following Url https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NinjasCL/pw-app/master/app.json Source Here https://github.com/NinjasCL/pw-app
  3. HELLO! Just in case anyone's interested I've just started this podcast http://www.machine-ethics.net/ I sent less than a day building the site so be kind. I'm looking to improve it and make it available as a site profile as it has an rss feed that itunes can pick up and use which may be useful for anyone else creating podcasts. cheers
  4. Hi everyone! I've been away from web dev for a while (designing more), so I'm feeling a bit out of touch. Can anyone tell me what's the best way to combine multiple rss feeds in one single site/page these days? Preferably with javascript (or is there a better way these days?) What I want to do is to fetch only the images of multiple (hundreds, probably) rss feeds and display them in one site/page as one big gallery. Thanks, and cheers!
  5. Hi Guys, I have recently joined bloglovin and have implemented the RSS enhanced module onto my blog, encolsures for images are working ok but I was wondering if I can implement these to be wrapped in an image tag to allow blog lovin to be able to carry imagery through. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mel
  6. Hi Guys, I have successfully implemented the RSS feed module, however I need to feed some images through can anyone help with this? At the minute I have: <?php // retrieve the RSS module $rss = $modules->get("MarkupRSS"); // configure the feed. see the actual module file for more optional config options. $rss->title = "Latest updates"; $rss->description = "The most recent pages updated on my site"; // find the pages you want to appear in the feed. // this can be any group of pages returned by $pages->find() or $page->children(), etc. $items = $pages->find("limit=10, sort=-modified"); foreach($items as $item) { $item->title = $item->title; } $rss->render($items); ?> The image field is called blog_images and I know I need to include it within the foreach but im a bit stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mel $item->blog_image = $item->blog_image;
  7. I've got an issue where my RSS feed is not validating due to some tags but I can't figure out what files to alter in order to correct it. See http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cmscritic.com%2Ffeed%2F
  8. Can anyone recommend any good RSS or news feeds geared more towards new web services and APIs, rather than hardware and software packages?
  9. Hi, congrats on processwire cms - it looks very clean and nice ! I have been asked by a client of mine, who is using processwire to update his website (somebody has created website using processwire and he's not available to help anymore) to login to admin panel and see if he can add rss support. I need that RSS enabled (for a couple of pages, that he's updating regularly) so that my software (digital signage system) can parse and display his news. How should i start and do it - without "breaking" his website ? After i login, i can see in modules section that there's "install" button next to Markup RSS Feed (which is strike-through). After that, is there anything more I should do ? I have only access to panel, but not to ftp etc. Thanks for your assistance! Qlex
  10. I am in need of some quick help from anyone who might be able to assist. I've just discovered that our RSS feed is 8 days behind for some reason and I can't seem to get in touch with Ryan (he appears to be gone for a week). If anyone can assist, please drop me an email to mike@cmscritic.com (happy to pay for your time). Experience PW users only please. Thank you. Mike
  11. Hi! Implemented Ryan's blog template to kickstart a site I was making for my own business and can't get to grips with the Abstraction of the RSS feed in it. site: blog.eulergy.com/ rss: http://blog.eulergy.com/categories/resources/rss notice that the dates are running in the wrong order old to new and not newest first. Anyone able to illustrate how one might change that in the blog template? Thanks,
