Superb. Joss, your forum sig tells fibs.
-
Yay! That works - serves a 200 status and Google can now read it. Thank you.

I have a site running the dev branch (as downloaded yesterday 17 Jan) and there is a problem with the sitemap.xml file generated by Pete's MarkupSitemapXML module. Even though the sitemap can be viewed in the browser, it is returning a 404, so Google Webmaster Tools isn't reading it. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hmmm, %= doesn't use fulltext indexes (indices?), so word length shouldn't matter.
-
I think Soma's right. The %= selector works for postcodes and part postcodes cos it doesn't use the fulltext index. It's a bit less versatile than a fulltext search and it is a bit slower but I have it searching about 7000 pages with no noticeable speed issues. (Even 'slow' mySQL is still fast.)

No, you're a southerner. Draw a line between the Mersey and Humber estuaries and everything north of that is The North (until you get to Hadrian's Wall), and everything south of there is The South. (That is the official definition to some of us Northerners.)

Joss could probably explain the sound on this one - http://www.fallingfalling.com/ <ukonly>I remember something on Tomorrow's World about it years ago.</ukonly>

how to use InputfieldSelectMultiple (or InputfieldSelect) ?
DaveP replied to mindplay.dk's topic in General Support
VLC does screen recording. -
No.3 (although ordinals aren't showing in the forum at time of writing) could also be Date (blogs often use most recent) Popularity (from site stats, maybe, or social likes or whatever) Arbitrary (alphabetical or something, although Jakob Nielsen disagrees and offers suggestions relevant to this discussion) Or how about something like a score that the author gives to a piece (like a z-index?!?) to force it to show up early in searches and other listings (I'm probably thinking like 'featured products' on an e-commerce site) <edit>Ordered lists might need some css attention but unordered lists are ok</edit>
-
Just noticed (when quoting a post by Joss) that ordered lists aren't getting any numbering when rendered on the page.

Categories vs tags, anyone?

Not so much before & after PW, but just after and a couple of days later... https://plus.google.com/photos/108086096046069388419/albums/5831478825607635953/5831478828859887026?authkey=CMHO9sqY0OLVUg

Thanks, Pete. You just saved me a load of work. (Why didn't I think of that?)

http://aneventapart....daptive-content Long - just over an hour, but fascinating video presentation from An Event Apart. But much of it could be a description of why to use ProcessWire (although it's not about PW). Much of the presentation will resonate with PW users.

Wasn't doing the funny links on HNY but is now - must be forum software.

I'd be inclined to disallow 'admin' as the URL (or is that a bit too Big Brother?).
-
It seemed to, first time I tried. Having said that, I have since uninstalled through admin and called it again through front end, and it installed itself as expected. Might have been something odd I did...
-
On the current dev branch of PW, this module does appear to need to be installed before it works (contrary to docs).
-
I don't know how Ryan implemented this kind of thing in his blog profile, but my feeling is that you could easily have the best of both worlds. Have each post with a PW style url and list posts (and excerpts) on 'archive' pages by year/month, category, tag, whatever.

:'( Whoops, sorry nik! I had the two numbers transposed. (Original post corrected.) And wow, by the way, more likes than posts! -
Joost de Valk recommends that on Wordpress you change the permalink to just the post name, so my answer would be to save yourself some work and don't bother.

Erm, not unless you've got at least 2 gold post boxes like Wiggo! (The first one is about 350 metres from my office.)
