german translation for PW 2.4 is ready and waiting for pull-request. In my case there's a problem with translation of /wire/templates-admin/ files. Not sure, what's the problem here. Maybe it's only in my environment? But Ryan already has this on his to-do list.

until now the 'cz' and 'de' translations are the most complete? language packs for the new PW 2.4. They contain 99 files. Here's a list with all translated files. Take a look at this thread. You have to edit one core file: wire/modules/LanguageSupport/Languagetranslator.php. In line 207 replace DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR with '/' Unfortunately this is not fixed until now..

Hi Philipp in both sites the first navi link has a problem under newest Firefox (see screenshot). Deleting the margin fixed it: header nav ul li a { /* margin: -10px -13px -9px; */ padding: 15px 13px 13px 15px; }

the new 2.4 has arrived! I tested it in a clean new installation, but unfortunately the translation problem with the /wire/templates-admin/default.php is still there. Yesterday night I also tried installations in latest Wamp and EasyPHP on Windows (because of the hint of soma). Same result.

did you tried a new installation or a update? With clean new installation (actual 2.3.15) you get the classic color scheme preselected as default. Also the radio button is checked in the modules settings.

for me it's obvious that he/they (am*****) are fakeing the votes. With this speed am***** will have some 10 thousands of votes at the end of the month. This could backfire..?

tested with complete new installation, but no change. I also contacted Radek (cz translator). He gets all translations correctly in the admin. To cross check it, he sent me his newest files for testing. But same result (in cz) for me like above. Strange. I'm using latest xampp 1.8.3 version. Maybe this helps with investigations?

about 20 min ago the script-kid stopped the work. Maybe this person realized that some people are wondering what's going on there...

yes, I think this is not serious. They get votes in seconds. Remember: they have 212 members in their forum, mainly spoken in french (nearly no international).

because translations in newest dev. Using 2.3.15 with german as default language (only one language). See the screenshots. overview from Admin - Setup - Fields. In the breadcrumb only Fields (Felder) is translated. The rest is not. Admin - Setup. The titles are translated. Admin - Setup - Languages. in the breadcrumb the 'Fields' is the only one field which translated phrase show up correctly. All others not. Also the small nav in the footer is not translated.

hmm, I don't use any multi-language modules/settings? Just wondering, before the change (to 2.3.15) it was ok. It's always the same installation. Remembers me on this status/behaviour? Maybe another translator could check this (e.g. Radek). EDIT: tested with a new installation. Install language support, then load all translation files into default language. Same result. this screenshot was from here and happened only on the login screen. Because the core tab: tested it with different browser. But no core tab. No js errors found. hmm, I have never seen this 'Core' tab. Checked it with a 2.3.14 and 2.3.15 version.

@ryan: quickly updated and tested it. Nice to have only one main file for admin translation. But you have to check the strings for the top navigation and the headings (breadcrumb). Means the strings are available for translation in: /wire/templates-admin/default.php but the gui stays english. =============================== EDIT: another text for translating under Access/Users/Username is following phrase searching through the files I found this in /wire/core/install.sql (line 194). Also there's another phrase on line 191. Is it possible, to make them translatable? This will close the last gap in translations.

new installation working fine on Win 7 with actual Firefox 26. Looks good with the styled ui. But I'm missing the possibility to set the date/timezone during installation. Any plans when to include this?

beside the fact, the (above mentioned) strings aren't in the new 2.3.14 until now I tried something with the PageRender.module. When using single quotes, the string is translated, but the variables dont work. So I tried this concatenation line 392 $f->description = __("There are currently") . " " . $numPages . " " . __("pages cached in") . " " . $path; in this case I get 2 strings to translate, but it's functional.

That would be nice. Or at least give a info at the end of the installation, where to find the settings for the color scheme. So all PW newbies get the 'ooh.. aah..' feelings very fast...

to continue the thoughts of adrian and Martijn: why not drop the (old) theme in /wire/templates-admin/? Is it technically needed? Instead of that make the new AdminThemeDefault preinstalled by default and preselect the most liked color scheme (Modern ?). In the moment it's a little bit confusing for PW newbies. At first they get the old admin after installation, then they have to find out how to get the new AdminThemeDefault.
