  1. hmm, new installation with PW dev 2.4.5 (after the latest fix from ryan), on Windows 7, XAMPP. Maybe a Windows specific problem?
  2. new german updates for actual PW dev 2.4.5 (19 June 2014). Zip contains only updated/added files (in comparison to the default 2.4 lang pack). updated files: wire--modules--inputfield--inputfieldselector--inputfieldselector-module.json wire--modules--process--processtemplate--processtemplate-module.json pw-lang-de-dev-update.zip
  3. Hi Nikola, tried the Modesta (dev version) theme in an 2.4.5 dev installation. No sucess. I get the simple old-style PW design? place files under /site/modules/AdminThemeModesta/ then search and install it in module section made my configs select theme in the profile settings
  4. @ryan please take a look in this thread. There's something broken in dev 2.4.5 since last update. translation files will be renamed at upload also the headings in setup and access page are no more translated
  5. oh yes, now I realize the other filenames. Tested: delete all lang-files under site/assets/files/... Then copy translation files into existing directory. All working now. But under setup/languages/... the file-names don't change. Means the files cannot be edited. Also the headings under setup and access are no more translated. Hmm, seems there's something broken since the last update. We have to inform Ryan about this problem.
  6. I'm setting up a new local installation with fresh PW dev 2.4.5 and installed language support module. Now I loaded all translation files into the default language, but all stays in english after reloading the page? Isn't it possible anymore to overwrite the default language or did I missed something? Also checked another installation, which I updated regularly from 2.4 to 2.4.5 --> no problem there with using single default language translated.
  7. new german updates for actual PW dev 2.4.5 (18 June 2014). Zip contains only updated/added files (in comparison to the default 2.4 lang pack). updated files: wire--templates-admin--debug-inc.json pw-lang-de-dev-update.zip
  8. thanks for the hint. new german updates for actual PW dev 2.4.4 (17 June 2014). Zip contains only updated/added files (in comparison to the default 2.4 lang pack). added files: wire--modules--inputfield--inputfieldselector--inputfieldselector-module.json pw-lang-de-dev-update.zip best would be to have a GitHub repo for the dev lang-pack as discussed above, so others can check and correct files if necessary?
  9. I also recommend to work on a local environment (xammp, mamp, wamp etc.) for making your first steps with Processwire.
  10. btw: that's no tutorial. Can someone move this under the right sub-forum?
  11. hi roger, until now there's no language pack for pt-BR. You have to take the pt-PT. http://modules.processwire.com/categories/language-pack/ if that's ok for you: download the lang-pack and unzip it. In PW now you have to install the LanguageSupport module. Then go to settings - languages. If you like to use only one language --> click on the default language. Then drag all your json files (from lang-pack) on the right bottom corner. They will be uploaded. Then refresh your page. Ready. If you want to use more languages beside english --> create new entry under settings - languages. Give it a name. Then same procedure like above.
  12. Hi Matthias, very clean looking sites. And they are veeery fast...! Only one point missing: don't know or see on what page I am. Means better highlighting the active pagelink? I prefer to replace the active link html from <a> to <strong> and style it differently (keyword: Deppenlink). Sorry, don't know the correct english word for this behaviour.
  13. I would prefer the solution Marc suggested: made a stable and development lang-pack. If we made a 'one-for-all' there will be a lot of abandoned and doubled strings. The updates of the dev PW often change the strings inside. So I think making and maintain two versions of lang-packs is easier. When a new PW stable version is published, we can rename the dev-lang to e.g. version 2.5 and so on. And start the next dev-lang from 2.5.
  14. anybody made the last update to dev 2.4.4? What do you think about the big icons?
  15. new german updates for actual PW dev 2.4.4 (12 June 2014). Zip contains only updated/added files (in comparison to the default 2.4 lang pack). updated files: wire--templates-admin--default-php.json wire--modules--fieldtype--fieldtypepagetable-module.json wire--modules--system--systemupdater--systemupdater-module.json added files: wire--modules--process--processpagelister--processpagelister-module.json pw-lang-de-dev-update.zip
  16. Hi Nico, looks nice and does it's job. What about a check if already any additional language exists? In my test installation I can additionally install de-de although german is already installed. Hmm, but on the other side... most people will use this from the start in a fresh installation, so there's no problem. BTW: typo on your blog-post. handeling --> handling
  17. the first rumours heard in a Modx forum. After Marc (mademyday) changed to PW, I tried it and... never looked back.
  18. tested latest version: the optimizing is nice and function well. for better translation use new line for the second string and better place the blank after the closing a (see code) 136: $warnings[] = '<a href="?owner='.__CLASS__.'&action=optimize&table='.$t_Name.'">'.$this->_('Optimize').'</a> ' . 137: $this->_('table to reclaim space and reorganize indexes.');
  19. new german updates for actual PW dev 2.4.3 (31 May 2014). Zip contains only updated/added files (in comparison to the default 2.4 lang pack). updated files: wire--modules--inputfield--inputfieldfile--inputfieldfile-module.json pw-lang-de-dev-update.zip
  20. a question to the last update (2.4.3): the new option 'Disable multi-language descriptions' in the module InputfieldFile is only used for image fields. Correct?
  21. I remember this discussion too. Also Matthias (yellowled) and I talked about how to handle this, but with no final solution. Best would be: one general repo per language (under the roof of official PW?), including "sub-repos" for the basic lang-pack and every translated module. Is such a hierarchy in GitHub possible at all? Also I agree with soma: not absolutely translate the module titles, but the descriptions and the rest of it.
  22. new german updates for actual PW dev 2.4.2 (28 May 2014). Zip contains only updated/added files (in comparison to the default 2.4 lang pack). updated files: wire--modules--inputfield--inputfieldinteger-module.json wire--modules--process--processpageadd--processpageadd-module.json added file: wire--modules--fieldtype--fieldtypepagetable-module.json pw-lang-de-dev-update.zip
  23. for german done... see this thread.
  24. I have placed the first 4 module translations for german on GitHub --> https://github.com/Manfred62 ProcessDiagnostics Thumbnails ModulesManager CKEditor not sure, is it helpful to always translate the module title? Suggestions and corrections welcome.
