pwired Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Anyone using aaahosting.de in Germany ? I do and they are down for already 25 minutes ! Maybe someone can confirm ? There own website www.aaahosting.de is also down.
LostKobrakai Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 It's down. http://isup.me/www.aaahosting.de
Mike Rockett Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 If you're in Germany, I recommend Hetzner for normal shared hosting (if that's what you're using). They also operate here in South Africa, and they do an outstanding job.
pwired Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 aaahosting.de now almost an hour down and so are my clients hosted webshops. I can't do a thing but answer phone calls and tell them I have my own backups.
LostKobrakai Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Another recommendation would be uberspace.de, nice responsive support, but you need to setup stuff mostly via ssh.
ceberlin Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 To check from outside if server is down (you probably know that link): http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com German provider? We use http://www.df.eu (domainfactory) since over 10 years and we are very satisfied.
LostKobrakai Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 To check from outside if server is down (you probably know that link): http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com Or use the shortform I posted previous: http://isup.me/
ceberlin Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 interesting... didn't realize they have a short url now. Much less typing
Nico Knoll Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 You should try udmedia.de. I'm using it for a couple of years now and it's great
pwired Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 In the end aaahosting.de was down for a complete hour. What bothers me is that they don't answer my emails where I ask them what exactly the problem was. Forum member Davo came up with a very good solution, can't find the url right now.
