  1. I feel weighed down because I have to search for the CSS class or id just to overwrite it with my own. Time consuming.
  2. It's good to see @cmscritic taking this stance with the community. Both he and Ryan are role models for others. They take care of their community. Treat them well. Listen to what they have to say. It brings comfort to me knowing that I too, can voice my opinion on something and not be ignored, but listened to. [ROUND OF APPLAUSE]
  3. Really? I migrated my PW site to WP and back to PW before settling on Drupal because I disagree on Joomla being the best.
  4. How does Bird compare to Neat? http://neat.bourbon.io/
  5. Yes, but I'll be returning to it for my personal site. I use Foundation5 when I need to get things up quickly. Great for prototyping.
  6. https://github.com/imsky/holder That's the one I used to use.
  7. That title has the worst run on sentence, eh? When I installed PW, I opted for the new option of installing with a BLANK profile. It's been great so far. But I can't figure out how to get my search searching?! From another fresh installation (2.5.3), I copied the contents of 'search.php' into my own 'search.php' file. Added my included header and footer. Then one by one, I copied every setting for the template and page from the other installation to my own. Even copied exactly how the template had the search form. Every search result is a blank page. Nothing is outputted.
  8. I'm delighted to see you using EM instead of the dreaded PX See that? YOU ARE A CODER! Now to answer the question, I use Foundation5, so all my breakpoints are taken care of for me But when I was using the sweet little PocketGrid, I built from mobile^up. I use this awesome little bookmarklet: http://lab.maltewassermann.com/viewport-resizer/ Then begin adding the proper widths per element based on the layout chosen.
  9. Welcome to our family. Soon, just like Joss and I, you will learn to code by trying. Testing. Trial and Error.
  10. Fortunately for me, I was able to get a screen capture before you edited your post
  11. SOLVED!!!!! (i hope) My About page has two fields. Body and About_Sidebar. I had this selected on both: I set it back to "Regular Editor" and the error is gone when I load the page in edit mode in admin. BUT, after I make an edit to the content of the page, and hit SAVE, this appears.
  12. Am gonna SFTP the entire ./wire/ directory up. There's no reason at all for that one single file to be missing, corrupt, etc. Since I use git, only my template files have ever been altered. This is so ODD!
  13. I love it! I will absolutely without a doubt follow this idea! Thanks Peter Night! -- Edit by diogo: had to happen one day... @OrganizedFellow, sorry, I erased your post instead of replying. I tried to put it back how it was, but I'm not sure it's exactly the same
  14. Well, the title says it all ladies and gentlemen. I have no idea why it is loading so slow. This is what appears after letting it load for several minutes: [ProcessWire 2.5.3]
  15. But can't Ryan create his own blog and jingles?!
  16. I've had "normal" serviced hosting for over a decade. I'm eager to try "what's new" and test things out. I played with Redhat OpenShift for several months, but left recently. It was great fun though. I just like to experiment a LOT!!!
  17. @Marty Walker Thanks you. I haven't played with it. Long work day and I'll have to wait til tomorrow to tinker with.
  18. I had used EE for years, way back when they were still called pMachine. So I have a firm understanding of the CMS. However I have not used it in the past two years, and I am sure lots has changed. Same here! I loved EE until I had the "EUREKA MOMENT" with ProcessWire. It took a long time for me, because after leaving EE, I was on the hunt for the next great CMS. That got me into various WAMP setups, virtual machines, a dozen different CMS's, etc. I liked many others, but none gave me the AHAAA MOMENT, like a lightning bolt, as PW did the first time I understood it.
  19. LIghtning.pw offerss a tremendous service for us in the community. For that we all THANK YOU But isn't it just for development? Should someone truly host their site on there?!
