  1. I don't get any commissions from ServInt. But they do provide a dedicated server for the ProcessWire project, which we don't have to pay for. I think this is really awesome of them to support the ProcessWire project in this way. If you get an account with Servint it's good to mention ProcessWire, just as a way to say thanks, if you want to. But just wanted to mention that nobody is getting any commissions or payments. We all are getting a great server, because Servint likes ProcessWire and supports open source.

  2. I totally agree with this, but lets do this carefully, you don't want to be changing the logo again in one year, and I really believe that it's better a reasonable already recognizable logo (what there is now), than an only slightly better new logo. As I said before, I think the square logo should be coherent with the logo as it is now. Here is something that I think is coherent with both the logo and the new website.

  3. Hey all, I'm releasing a new admin theme called Elegance. I tried to keep the look and feel of ProcessWire, but with a modern clean and robust touch to it. Special thanks to nikola, soma and adamspruijt, because I've used components from their themes that I liked (hope u guys are okay with it ). 4. It is possible, and I've thought we'd eventually do this but it just hasn't come up before now. Fieldtypes can modify their own schema by keeping a schema version in their field settings. Both the comments, and files/images fieldtypes do this in 2.3 to support new features. So will take the same route with the integer type to support the things you've outlined. Should be able to visit this soon after wrapping up the new version. Btw, the way I've handled this in the past is to create the field in PW, then go into phpmyadmin to tweak the details. But I'd rather people be able to do this all in PW. Still if it's something you need today, it's generally safe to modify a field_* table schema to suit a specific need.

  5. They actually offer an Offloaded DNS Hosting add-on for 1 dollar a month, typical cPanel setup. (comes with 5gb storage tossed in too... guess you could use this for backups, though I've never put it to use) Right now I have a 512 OpenVZ and a 128 OpenVZ, I also have the offloaded SQL add-on for $1 a month and DNS Hosting add-on for $1. These add-ons were particularly awesome when it came to setting up the 128, which I put a stripped down debian with Nginx (no need to put MySQL in). With 20+ users on my site RAM use will stay around 40mb (and with some work I actually plan to further reduce this, wish me luck ). Be warned though, getting a VPS with these guys can be very hard, I recommend following them on twitter or checking this site all the time. For example, I literally bought my 128 two days ago and there were 12 available? All gone now.

  6. Awesome, thanks for your efforts here. I'm limited to mobile for a couple days, but look forward to checking it out!

  7. I also started to see u when i did the logos. In diogos I see Photoshop Welements. I don't think the cloud is something we should incorporate into a or any of the logos of PW. Just to fit the current website... which will change in 2-3 years. The letters typing is ok, but doesn't make a logo I'd want to live with. I'm not sure anymore what is required or not and the way to go from here.

  8. Hello kongondo & welcome to the PW forum. Whilst I agree that Ryan's produced an amazing product in ProcessWire I think it goes beyond just the software. Of the CMS devs I've been involved with Ryan's the one project lead who has been the most open, from first contact, to meaningful contributions towards the site, docs, forum and code. Some others have been open, most friendly, but none to the same degree. Consequently he's attracted a welcoming, talented & professional group of people to the project and I've learned a lot from being involved here.

  11. Hi Soma, Thank you for the update. I'll go in and try this again. Having a "blank" starting point is definitely a great option. Thanks again, Matthew

  12. Spent some time creating random logos. Some are more cool some are maybe not. Didn't care about colors too much. Hard is to do something with the pw letters in the fonts of the logo. Maybe choosing another font for a more iconic shape would be good. Anyway just some food.

  13. Ryan, that was on the favicon, and it was a P inside a square, and I think the circle makes all the difference. Still, for the logo I think the W shouldn't be dropped. Honestly I don't think the P for itself represents ProcessWire. I must say I'm not the biggest fan of the typeface combination of PW's logo, but for the sake of coherence, and not being in favor of changing the logo if not for something much better, I think the logo should be this one or simply the avenir P with the mahalia W inside the bluish grey square.
