what RSS web design/dev feeds do you follow?

I used to be a long time user of Google Reader. Then sometime last year, I simply stopped using it. I stopped visiting the sites I relied on for so long for web dev and design news, tips/tricks, inspiration, etc.

Now that Reader is dead, I decided to get back into RSS, so I downloaded/installed Tiny Tiny RSS.
My question for you friends: what web design/development related blogs/feeds to you recommend?

Of course I have some of the most popular ones:
Noupe, CSS Tricks, Smashing Magazine. What else do you recommend?

[Friend recommended Feedly, which I am really liking at the moment :) ]

As for the Google Reader replacement, I settled for https://feedbin.me/ and Press app for android. Both are paid, but that gives me some confidence they might be there for years to come (I also considered self hosting, but I was too lazy/busy to do that).

CMS & General tect-related: http://gadgetopia.com/

CSS, standards: http://lea.verou.me/

The Web Tech/Biz Classic: http://37signals.com/svn/

Resources (this is where I found PW in 2011): http://www.webresourcesdepot.com/

I actually prefer to follow rare posting blogs that have real gems - I think that is what RSS is most suitable. I have never bothered with news sites, that have 5+ posts per day..

I use NewsBlur https://www.newsblur.com to track my RSS feeds, and it's been awesome ever since I moved away from The Old Reader, you have to pay a small yearly fee (currently $24/year), but it has a free alternative (up to 64 feeds)

A great resource to find articles on javascript is http://www.echojs.com/, which is becoming more and more prominent, and is a HackerNews of sorts, but for the JS community.

As far as individual blogs go, I'm a tremendously huge fan of http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/, by Jeff Atwood, a founder @ StackOverflow.

For a full list of the feeds I follow (they're not that many, and they're all tech-related), visit this link:

Possibly just a slip, but.. you didn't mention A List Apart there? :)

...

Too much good stuff to keep track of nowadays but that's what Twitter is for.

ha :) yes, it was just a slip.

I really wanted to just start over with my feeds. I have added it to my new collection.

AH, Twitter, I had/have an account. I just may have to start another thread and get re-started on "Who To Follow"

:)

I know the topic isn't really RSS readers, but I just have to express my love for Feedly as well. I was disappointed in losing Google reader at first, but now I'm glad it's gone since it led me to discover Feedly :) I had always wanted to be able to categorize my feeds by topic. The mobile app is excellent as well.

I agree, I am really liking it also.

Since I installed Tiny Tiny RSS and my friend recommended Feedly, I've used it all this week actually, hah!

one word.

FAWESOME!

:)

Don't forget us.. we run on ProcessWire too! http://www.cmscritic.com/feed

I used to be such a CMS whore back in the day. I was always on the search for the bigger better badder CMS to manage my/client websites.

For many years, I was happy with ExpressionEngine (I used pMachine for a while, too), but I left it when I discovered ProcessWire last year.

I will be using ProcessWire for many years to come.

The fact that you chose ProcessWire over all the others CMSs that you've encountered speaks volumes about its strengths and adaptability.

:D
