I switched to Processwire 10 years ago and it's being my goto framework for maintaining my website and also developing for clients. 

Development

I used the moduleTemplateEngineFactory and TemplateEngineTwig, Twig has always been my favourite templating engine, because of how easy it is, to use reusable code and have an easy way to inject content into the layout, it's almost like MasterPages in .NET (For the Oldies)

You should take a look into the Latte template engine, which is also available for TemplateEngineFactory or RockFrontend. I like latte more than twig or smarty.
The syntax is somewhat similar, but it has advantages such as added security.

As usual this has been my ritual for years, changing my website and it's always been Processwire as usual, this time I went for a minimal look.

Have you tried to add some nice monospace font?
Could make a nice contrast in some places.

I suck when it comes to designs, I am going to explore this and update, thanks so much because I code more than I design so you saying it's good has made my day.
