Luis Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I introduced today one of my clients to Processwire, i've just ported her site from Joomla. After 5 minutes clicking, showing and telling she just said: " This is all? So easy?" Looks like a new fan Any similar situations someone? 7
Joss Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I have a leaflet run going out to all local businesses tomorrow .... so we shall see! 1
Luis Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 We have to spread the love Soma I can't hear "we do this in wordpress" anymore A review would be nice Joss 1
Soma Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I had this moment when I discovered pw. WorsePress what is zath? 2
Joss Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 A review would be nice Joss I would just settle for some work! 2
Luis Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 Mmmmmmmmh My first impression after discovering pw.: Aha another CMS. Maybe I give it a try in a few days. ..... Few days later ..... WOW 2
Pete Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Joss, what's in your leaflet just out of interest?
Joss Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Oh, its just a flyer - something silly to get started. I will follow up with a more serious one in a few weeks. It is very ... British! 2
Joss Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 haha - Very sadly I tend to be surrounded by assorted espresso machines, Cafetière, kettles, tins of Illy Oddly, I don't actually drink much coffee, but I like nice coffee when I do.
ryan Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Joss, I love the wording on your flyer. But is "advertsing" a British spelling (or humor... err humour?), or is that a misspelled word? 1
Joss Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Oh, that was the draft, you will be glad to know
Luis Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Joss, I love the wording on your flyer. But is "advertsing" a British spelling (or humor... err humour?), or is that a misspelled word? It is very ... British! Maybe very british means, c´mon let´s make a leaflet in the pub? 1
Joss Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Maybe very british means, c´mon let´s make a leaflet in the pub? Once upon a time, yes - or with me, in some hotel bar in Soho (I used to live there). These days - well, suffice to say, my liver loves me again!
Luis Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 Joss, u are an musician, your liver has to hate you, well... if its true what television and magazines tell me
Pete Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I like the fact that your pictured web deveopment tools are, whilst somewhat rustic, still far better than MS Frontpage 1
Joss Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 *hides treasured copy of FrontPage 2000* Well, there is method in my madness: Saw: Cut Brush: Paste Hammer: Delete Pot: File server 1
thetuningspoon Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I have had several similar responses from our clients when I do the final CMS training with them. Sometimes I will also demo it during a pitch. The drag-and-drop file upload always gets a positive reaction And once I have auto image resizing implemented, the admin bar installed, and the manage pages turned off for the client, it couldn't be much simpler! 1
