reinterpret
good morning from germany. i moved a processwire website to another location. So, database, files and i changed site/config files with the data of the new database. the links are not working correctly. i get the startpage but if i click to an link it shows an error(nothing special, just not found). i am a processwire beginner. so what do i have to look for? the site structure is looking also diffrent from normal i think. reinterpret
Oh. Here is a link: http://test.max-cafe-bar.de/ i also installed a new processwire instance. i copied the template files to it. its strange but i cant login to backend in both. i think my webspace is maybe not working with this kind of dynamic links from processwire? netcarver
Hi reinterpret and welcome to the PW forum! Sorry to hear of your troubles with migrating your site. Have you had a look at the tutorial on moving a site? It sounds to me like you might find Nico's tutorial on login problems useful too.
Soma
Clearly a htaccess rewrite problem here.
reinterpret
thank you netcarver: i ll read and try. thank you soma: yes. first when i moved the site everything was not working. i renamed the .htacces to look what will happen and the first site was showing up. but the links are not working. i made a new installation of processwire on the server and copied over the .htacces also to the old installation. now first site is also working with .htacces. but links not. Home/Root page always works and doesn't need htaccess to be working. So if home is working but others not it's a htaccess problem.
apeisa
the links are not working correctly. i get the startpage but if i click to an link it shows an error(nothing special, just not found). It's not giving page not found (404), but internal server error (500). So site and code most probably ok, but server settings probably not. Look for the .htaccess and try various tips that there are commented. Consult your hosting company if you don't manage to get it working. mod_rewrite required. Always good idea to try clean install if moving site into new host to see if it meets all the PW requirements.
Beluga
Just a thought: I had a problem with a certain host with the <IfModule mod_env.c> statement around SetEnv HTTP_MOD_REWRITE On https://processwire.com/talk/topic/6741-urgent-page-down/#entry83815
