Since the text editor here uses a proportional font, I would normally put in a nose, so the face doesn't appear squashed: [ instead of ] But when I'm using a fixed-width font, no nose is necessary, as it just elongates the entire face: instead of So the thing that gets me every time is that when I put in a nose, I get the "whodunit" smiley like rather than a smiling little guy.
