MarcC Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I have this thing, where I use different smilies depending on the font in use. Since the text editor here uses a proportional font, I would normally put in a nose, so the face doesn't appear squashed: [ instead of ] But when I'm using a fixed-width font, no nose is necessary, as it just elongates the entire face: instead of So the thing that gets me every time is that when I put in a nose, I get the "whodunit" smiley like rather than a smiling little guy. Anyway, not a complaint. And only mildly serious.

Pete Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I think he just meas he prefers to put the noses in.
