FieldtypePage: support for adding multi-field pages within Page Edit

The "Allow new pages to be created from field?" option is great for site editors, but you can really only allow this if the template used in your Page field only needs the Title filled out. If your template requires other fields then editors need to leave the page they are editing and create a new page from the tree or from "Add New".

It would be cool if there was an option to add new pages to the Page field via a modal window (like the one you get if you allow edit links for the field).

I sort of handle this situation using this:

but then editors do need to click on the item after it is added to fill out those additional fields; not a perfect solution, but might be the only option currently

This is in the core now for PW dev, so no module needed. However, the "Enable + New link?" feature of this module is nearly what I was hoping for. It allows the addition of new pages in a modal window. The only catch is that the added page is not available for selection until the page being edited is saved or reloaded. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
