Nico Knoll
Hi, I just largely finished my first ProcessWire page. It's the one of my school At this time the Website doesn't exist on my school's server but on mine. So here's the link: http://schiller.nico-knoll.de/ I plan to integrate Oliver's language module later. But my biggest problem at this time is, that I don't like the current way how ProcessWire works with uploaded files e.g. images. There is no way to get a complete collection of all files. I only can add files to one site (and change the path on an other site to this). But I have to manage like 2000 pictures, so it would be great if there would be a better way to manage them (maybe I'll write a module for this). I would like to here your opinion to this site. Greets, Nico
Soma
Nice work on the site Nico! Sure must been fun and simple to build it. Hearing your concerns about files in PW, I was about to write something about regarding file management in PW. I got the same concerns as you and while working on a pretty large multilanguage site too, I came across some limitations when dealing with images in various ways. I'm thinking about this part for a long time now and can get my mind around what would be best and how to accomplish it so it suits PW philosophy. I think we should start an thread on another board regarding this. Do you mind starting it? Make suggestions and think about alternatives. It was discussed and requested already by some people. If you would give a try at it, I would love to help. I think the way it's currently done works and is great and simple for certain cases, but also is limited and not very easy to maintain. --- moved edited message to here: http://processwire.com/talk/index.php/topic,692.msg5216.html#msg5216
apeisa
Nice looking site Nico! Very clean and polished. I had problems when I visited it with my mobile phone (HTC Desire HD). I couldn't view whole site and unfortunately it "clipped" content from left side - so side menu wasn't accessible.
diogo
Very nice website! The way the menu goes to the left and the search bar goes up feels very natural. Well done
