Thomas108 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Dear processwire folks, is there a way or a module to show the entire pages in a dropdown when hovering on PAGES in Admin? Just like all files and templates are displayed when hovering over Setup / Fields or Templates ? Would be a time-saver on slow internet connections.
horst Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 with the new PW 2.5 (what will be released very soon, or you can get in the dev-branch on GitHub) you can use Tree and Find. Do you know Find?
Thomas108 Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 Yes, I have seen "Find" and it looks like a quite impressive search tool. "Find" and "Tree" are already there in PW 2.4.7. Will there be a change in behaviour in 2.5? If not, than that is not what I would like to have: A dropdown menu with all my pages when hovering over "pages" in the admin. Something like this: Obviously this may get complicated on large navigations, but for smaller sites it would be a comfortable time saver, I think
horst Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Ah, ok. No it will not change in behavior. And no, I don't know of any tool that does that. I'm not sure, but I think no, there also isn't what you are asking for, but you may have a look to the admin themes section by yourself.
adrian Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Might be nice on a small site, but would be slow and cumbersome on a larger one. PS You should upgrade your version of ProcessPageDelete - actually uninstall and reinstall the new one so it gets rid of that extra "Delete Page" 1
LostKobrakai Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 You could do this yourself, if your using processwire > 2.4. The admin theme is a module there, which you could copy in your site/modules/ folder and modify it, to show your submenu. Then choose it in the backend to be your admin theme and your done. 1
Thomas108 Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Thanks for all replies. You could do this yourself, if your using processwire > 2.4. Ok, I'll check it out myself and will report.
