  1. Thanks for the replies guys. really appreciate the help and the community of PW. currently youtubing bootsrap now, found a 2 hour long tutorial, gonna get deep into this now.
  2. Thanks bro. Just so much used on wp. where almost everything you can google, even complete step by step video guides from scratch. no shortcut this time i guess.
  3. I am a complete noob in PW and have zero knowledge on how to use bootstrap. Just installed a fresh installation of PW with pwbootstrap3 site profile. GF's dad ask me to make a website on their new company. Pretty basic business website. Tried Wordpress and can't figure out how to make my own themes as GF's dad told me a specific design layout of the front end which is freakin hard to do in WP for a noob like me. Using a theme with bit of css modification in WP makes me feel highly unsatisfied still with the results. Had to finish the site for atleast in 2 months time. Where can I find a complete tutorial step by step guide on how to make a website using just PW or with pwboostrap3 site profile? So I can make the website quick. Preferably, the type of tutorial that will just shove the steps straight on my mouth. GF's dad look up to me like a PRO I.T. Highly Extremely Pressured.
  4. I really don't get the "modules are all in the core" thing? I started using WP not too long ago ( 1 month ) and I download plugins to add additional features without coding. You mean that's all in the core? It's just plain alienating to me. Sorry for my poor understanding, but my understanding of what it meant is: 1) All features (plugins, modules) is already installed in PW installation in default? which is obviously not the case or, 2) I have to code modules my self, sigh I only have decent html css skills but pretty basic PHP skills and I mean BASIC.
  5. I'm undecided whether I'm going to use modx or processwire as my CMS on my first ever project, it's a small business website about a scrap recycling company. MODX is nice it gives the same creative freedom as PW but it has 551 modules/plugins which they call extras, and that could help me add features on my site without coding. I haven't found the total numbers of modules in PW yet after search on google and the main website. Are the modules here in PW enough so that I could add cool features on my site? Or MODX still has the advantage when It comes to modules/extras? I like the simpler workflow and back end of PW that's why I'm considering PW and also because of the quick replies I get from the community and they are friendlier.
  6. How can I make this work. downloaded it from module tab in PW and in new tab I searched for PROCESSWIREBOOTSTRAP3and download and installed but still not working, What I see is the default site.
  7. just installed it and and back end is just so responsive and fast! OMG!!! I even got to changed the admin url easier! yay! furay!
  8. THank you for the replies. Almost finished my site using wordpress. It's all good but I just can't get the design I want. I only need some css and html understanding to customize the WP theme. But it still sucks that I can't 100% control the design. WP is easy to use if u r gonna be using themes. I hope PW will do the job I dream off, 100% my OWN design for every pixel!
  9. Im a complete noob in PW, just started learning WP this month and its easy to use but it sucks that it is limited and has no freedom on your own design. It's either buy a premium theme or create one ( Requries PHP expert programming). Im gonna take a look at PW it seems it has creative freedom like modx. but modx backend is more difficult unlike PW. Can you guys give me resources for a complete tutorial from scatch building websites in PW? Thank you.
