Is there any possibility to use a multi-select or multiple checkboxes as fieldtype without using pages?

I want to build some kind of configuration for the editor, where he can select certain options, which will then used in the template to output special content.

Right now i have to "rape" pages with just a title, which clutter my sitetree, for this.

Page fields are ideal for this. Keep in mind that "pages" are not just meant to be pages on your site. I often create a hidden "config" page and then nest all kinds of things beneath that.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the explanation.

The pages-approach seemed to me like a nasty workaround, but when this is the way to go, i'll do it.

Also thanks for the module. I stumbled over it some time ago, but didn't saw it's potential.
