Hi everyone & big-brained PW people,

In my travels this week I've come across a situation that requires some back-to-front thinking.

I PW site I did recently makes use of digitaldeliveryapp to deliver PDFs to customers. It's beautiful and it works great. But the site also sells to a lot of local councils who have (bizarre) firewall restrictions, can't access any urls from the above app and want an invoice first. Crazy.

I already store the PDF details (although not the actual PDF) in PW. I'd like to know if it's possible to do the following:

  • Add a PDF to a cart
  • Submit the order via form (with the requirement that the email address from the submitter must end with a .gov.au)
  • Form submission is stored as a page (thinking of the thread on Luis's web app)
  • Invoice is send automatically
  • Wait for payment (which would mean the client checks the bank account)
  • Once invoice has been paid client changes the page status to 'paid' and the PDFs are automatically emailed to their client.

If this is at all possible, and the client agrees to going in this direction, I'll stick a request in the job forum.

Cheers

Marty

Marty,

this could easily be done with PW API.
