Page reference fields and visibility condition won't save on user template

Has anyone else noticed that if you create a visibility condition for page reference fields assigned to the 'user' template that when you save the user the selected pages don't get saved?

I feel like I've seen a topic about this before, but can't seem to find it. Either way, it seems to be a bug with user templates?

What is the showif condition you are using for the Page Reference field? If the visibility depends on the value of the Roles field make sure you are matching by role ID, e.g. roles=1234|1235
