any way to rename the default superuser username ?

Hello, 

Both the GUI and the API are preventing from renaming the default superuser (id 41) username, which is defined at install time.

Is there any hacky means (in DB) to perform this safely ?

Why would you need to do that? You don't need to use it and you can just create new superusers named like you need it.

What version of PW are you running? I have no problem editing the name of the superuser in 2.6.10 via the GUI.

Well, I've just upgraded to 2.6.10 (from 2.6.0), and you're correct, now the field can be edited.
