  3. Welcome to PW. I think the approach most people take with ecommerce is get a third party cart and integrate it with Processwire. A good example of this would be something like Foxycart or Lemonstand, or Shopify, etc. One of the legendary devs here (apeisa) has been working on a shop module (http://modules.processwire.com/modules/shopping-cart/) which you could play with, but as it states on the page it's still in alpha stage and not ready for production environments.
  4. Ryan Thanks for your reply. That site looks really nice I've been planning to get FormBuilder to play with and start incorporating into my websites, so this is timely The ability to hold the form submissions in a queue awaiting approval is exactly what I need. One thing I need to verify: I assume the users have the ability to edit just the page they've created and no others, is that correct? If yes, how did you set this up? I would like users to only be able to edit the pages they create and not see the admin area for any other page.
  5. I agree with Teppo re submitting a support ticket to your hosting company to get the database information you need. I don't really know much about ipage.com hosting, so I can't speak to whether it meets Processwire installation requirements. If you can't check it yourself I would send them the link to this page http://processwire.com/about/requirements/ and confirm that the hosting they have you on does meet those requirements. That said, Processwire runs on pretty much most standard hosting, so this is likely more a problem of database credentials being wrong as you've said. I did a little bit of googling and it looks like ipage do name their database servers in a very specific way. Try using yourusername.ipagemysql.com as the hostname and see if that helps. Have you tried installing PW on your local test server (WAMP, XAMPP, MAMP, etc) if you have one?
  6. Welcome to the forums and to PW rachel. If you provide the details DaveP asked for it will help us figure out what's going on and try to help you. Can you take a screenshot of the page where you're getting stuck and post it here? You mentioned WordPress. Have you installed it before on this same server with no issues?
  7. Thanks kongondo! I think that first thread you posted might be the ticket! Excited to give it a try Thanks much! The Processwire community is just wonderful
  8. Thanks Craig and Diogo for pointing me to the various options. Off to do some reading and experimenting. Will report back on how it works out

  10. I am building a site where I need to create and populate pages based on the content inserted into a form by a site visitor. Is this possible using Form Builder or some other method? My basic idea is that I will create a template with certain fields. I would then create a form with the same fields, and then provide the url to that form to people who are authorized and want to create pages on the site. Once they fill the form, I would like to have that information saved to the database and a page created with the info from the form, with the page title and url automatically generated from one of the fields. I obviously don't want to give everyone access to admin backend to create pages so i thought this would be a good alternative, but I'm open to suggestions. As a plus, it would be great if these pages were unpublished by default so that I have a chance to approve and publish them before they go live. Any and all thoughts are welcome and appreciated
