  1. Hi, I'm currently implementing similar functionality for my project. $session seems to work as expected. However, I want to ask PW gurus, what are advantages of PW $session compared to regular PHP $_SESSION? It seems they basically do the same things, $session can be used as $session in template files and should be used as $this->session in module files. Are there any pros for $session except for chaining?
  2. Page tree persistence doesn't look like a big deal at first glance, but it drastically imporoves tree UX and "feel".
  3. Oh, another ex-MODXer here. I've switched to PW recently and quite happy with it. Some things are similar to MODX, some are different, but generally PW shares the same philosophy - highly custozieable, suitable for complex projects, strong API.
  4. Thank you for quick reply! Sorry fot the LMGTFY-style question, that was indeed an oversight.
  5. Hi, there are some topics here and there mentioning WireMail. However, I can't find any traces of it in the API section nor in Modules. There are WireMail SMTP, WireMail Branding etc, but not WireMail itself. Is it a part of a publiс API or just a piece of PW internals not intended for end users?
  6. Slightly updated translation attached below. This is incompleted version, I'm going to make some more in a couple of days. В прикремленном файле - слегка обновленная версия. Еще не закончена, я планирую сделать более полный перевод в ближайшее время. PW 2.7 russian-wire.zip
  7. Please, someone kick me in the head, I must be sleeping or something. https://github.com/ryancramerdesign/ProcessWire/issues/1506 I've opened this ticket yesterday, and today it's already resolved. I'm realy impressed by such amazing speed and feedback. Honestly, right now every thing about PW looks too good to be true. I realize that this is sort of "honeymoon" with new software that eventually will end, but oh well.
  8. Thank you for quick reply. Glad to know this. As I already said, Processwire looks _very_ attractive from the MODXer point of view and seems to be a cure for many longstanding MODX issues, so I definitely will give it a try.
  9. Hi! I've been a huge fan of MODX for years, but the bitter truth is bitter - MODX is stagnating. Long-awaited MODX3 is not even on the radar and the core team seems to be eternally busy with MODXCloud. So I'm in search for suitable replacement. Have tried Drupal 8, October, but Processwire looks like an optimal choice for ex-MODXer. I don't want to make same mistake twice, so before diving in I'd like to know, what is the current state of Processwire? Is it actively developed and maintained? How does it play with modern PHP tendences (Composer, PSR etc)? I've found some "MODX to PW" topics around, and they give generally positive imporessions, but they all are rather old.
