I've got a Password field on some custom pages (Not users)

How do I find these pages by the password set?

$pages->find("password=hello999");

doesn't seem to work

Cheers

PW's user system doesn't do what I need it to do, so im storing front end users as pages within my page tree. So when they login i'd need to match their u/n and pass to a page.

From the sounds of it, that doesn't sound like the best way to solve that problem. If you are having users log in, the best way to handle that is by using the built-in functionality because it takes care of secure credentials storage, authentication and session management.

Could you describe in more detail what the user system doesn't do that you need it to do? Perhaps there is a different way we could help with? Perhaps you may still need separate pages for users, but not for authentication purposes.

In addition to what Craig said, remember that PW 'users' are also pages that use templates. Those templates can be extended to contain other fields if that's part of the issue here.
