SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002]

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue trying to install ProcessWire 2.5

geting this message during the installation :

SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

I'm really noob to mysql and maybe I've mystaken creating the database before.

If anyone around could take his time to help a newbie, I would really appreciate.

I am not an expert either, but you can try this solution from clever people at stackoverflow. In short, "try 127.0.0.1 as the server name instead of localhost".

Made it work on local, I will export everything at the end, and I'll see if it's working that way.
