Nigel
Hello, Can anyone help? I am trying to modify some content on a new site and cannot see CKeditor. It appeared for a short time yesterday, but now refuses to appear at all. I have tried ie11 and firefox 32.0.2; I am running a zonelarms firewall on a windows 7 pc. Have tried turning the firewall off but no joy.
horst
What PW version do you run? Is your site hosted online or local? Have you installed the site newly or have you updated an existing site to a newer PW version? ------------ Just a thought: go to admin -> modules -> new and press "check for new modules" one or two times and then logout and login again. Go to edit a page, is it visible now?
Nigel
Hi Horst, Thanks. PW 2.4.0 It's hosted online, it's a new site, and the team who did it can access the editor via IE and Firefox. Tried check for new modules and no joy. just giving chrome a go .and it's the same. Tried my ipad and that works, so must be something on my pc blocking the editor - what sort of control is it do you know?

horst
It sounds your PC still is something blocking: "Failed to load resource" But I don't know enough about that, so I simply reply to your post and bump up the Thread a bit, hoping someone with more knowledge or experience read it and can help. Nigel
Horst, thanks for your help. I have resolved the problem; it required a re-install/update of java.
Nigel
Ok, this is now bugging me. Went into site, removed some images from the page, added some more, saved, exited. Went back, guess what no ckeditor...... Cleaned out all caches, re-installed java, no joy. I can use the demo ckeditor on the ckeditor site, but not the processwire demo version or the site I am working on, but I can use this forum which I think uses ckeditor Can anyone help me solve this? cstevensjr
If you can access your site from another Windows computer and have no problems with CKeditor, then the issue still points to your PC. Next , you should see if you can access another PW installation so you can rule out any problems with the PW site(s). If you can access CKeditor on the other PW site then you have an interesting problem. Most likely you should still have the same problem which points back to your PC. If that's the case, then you will need to troubleshoot when the problem started occurring. You will need to take a look at any updates or new software added to your Windows 7 machine. That may be hard because most people don't really keep track of things like that. The fact that you mentioned Zonealarm peaked my interest, as it's always something to look into when dealing with issues on Windows PCs. Zonealarm has had many problems with Java versions in the past, however that doesn't mean that this is what's going on now. It just means you need to take a good look at you firewall setup and configuration. The main point is you need to quickly isolate where your problem is occurring, so you won't waste valuable time chasing ghosts. Good Luck on sorting this out. Best Regards, Charles
cstevensjr
One other thing to try is to create another SuperUser account, on this website, login with that account and see if you still have the issue.
