How to handle links in $this->message();

I have a strange issue here:

Using HTML based links doesn't work for the inputfield

Setting Markdown based links doesn't work for the error message

Somehow I thought this worked in PW 2.2

Notice::allowMarkup doesn't solve it here.

The notice on top of the page can't handle MarkDown

The notice on above the field can't handle html. (translated to < > etc. )
