Custom Content Type?

Today I installed the Events Module and played with it.
Doing so, I wondered if it would not be better to let the user create his on content type.
In Wordpress you can do that with the custom post type.
I am a newbie to ProcessWire and do not know if there already  exists such a possibility.
A Google search only resulted in links related to 'custom fields'...
Any useful answer concerning this question would be appreciated.

In ProcessWire everything is custom.
