Wire404Exception() in controller does not redirect to 404 page

Good day, @teppo! Good day everyone!

As the topic says. If I

throw new Wire404Exception();

in Wireframe controller, I expect a redirect to 404 page to happen. But an error message is shown instead. Is it a bug?
